Why Lean Flow Skills Are in Demand Across Ukraine

    Rebuilding Under Reconstruction Pressure

Ukraine's recovery is valued at over 588 billion dollars, with industry and commerce needs above 63 billion. Rebuilt plants must run lean from day one, and mapping reveals where flow is lost.

VSM shows where flow and capacity are lost

    Producing Under Energy Constraints

Rolling blackouts and lost generation capacity make every production hour precious. A value stream map exposes waiting, overproduction and inventory that waste scarce energy and time.

    VSM exposes waiting and overproduction

Meeting EU Green and Digital Standards

EU accession requires production aligned to green and digital standards. Mapping helps manufacturers cut waste, shorten lead times and evidence the efficiency gains market access now demands.

    VSM evidences real efficiency gains

    Scaling Export Agribusiness and Food

Agribusiness and food processors are expanding exports fast. Value stream mapping balances cycle time to takt and smooths flow so throughput rises without piling up inventory or defects.

VSM balances flow to customer takt

    Doing More with Fewer People

Labour shortages stretch operations teams thin. Mapping the flow reveals the non-value work to remove, letting leaner teams protect output and quality without adding headcount.

VSM finds the non-value work to remove

    Turning Observation into a Plan

Many firms feel problems but lack a shared method to act. VSM turns direct observation into a current-state map, a future-state target and a costed roadmap the whole team can deliver.

The Skills You Will BuildPractical Mapping, Analysis and Planning

In this Value Stream Mapping course you will learn to build current-state and future-state maps, identify the eight Lean wastes, and turn analysis into a practical improvement plan. Each session pairs concepts with hands-on mapping of a realistic operational scenario, so you leave able to apply the method at work.

Lean Foundations and the Eight Wastes

Understand the five Lean principles, value-added versus non-value-added work, and the eight wastes (DOWNTIME) so you can define value from the customer's perspective and know exactly what a value stream map is looking for.

Reading and Using Standard VSM Symbols

Apply the standard set of process, material-flow, information-flow and inventory symbols, plus data boxes and the Kaizen burst, so your maps are clear, consistent and readable by any cross-functional team.

    Building an Accurate Current-State Map

Select a product family, walk the value stream in a Gemba walk, and capture cycle time, changeover, uptime, inventory and lead time by direct observation to build a map that reflects how work really flows.

    Analysing Flow, Bottlenecks and Takt

Calculate takt time, find the true constraint, and read the map to expose waiting, overproduction, excess inventory and push flow so you can prioritise the highest-impact improvement opportunities.

    Designing a Leaner Future State

Use the eight future-state questions to design continuous flow, pull systems and supermarkets, level the schedule, and quantify the lead-time and inventory gains between current and future state.

    Planning and Sustaining Improvement

Translate the future-state map into an implementation roadmap and Kaizen plan, set baseline metrics, and standardise new ways of working so improvements hold and the next VSM cycle builds on them.

    Practical Onsite Team Training

"The onsite format let us map a live value stream from our own warehouse. The trainer kept it practical, and we left with actions rather than just theory."

How much does Value Stream Mapping training cost in Ukraine?

Fees vary by delivery format (live virtual, classroom or corporate onsite) and group size, so current pricing is available on request. Contact a learning advisor for a quote tailored to individual or team training.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes instructor-led training across all six VSM modules, hands-on mapping exercises, course materials, and a course completion record from Invensis Learning, along with post-training support. Request a quote to confirm inclusions for your chosen format.

Do you offer group or corporate pricing?

Is there a discount for training a team in Ukraine?

Group and corporate rates apply when you train several people together, and onsite delivery can lower the per-person cost. Request a group quote and we will build a package around your team size and schedule.

    Assessment

Is there an exam for this course?

No. Value Stream Mapping training is a non-certification course with no examination. Learning is reinforced through hands-on mapping exercises and group discussion during the one-day programme.

Is a certification or credential awarded?

No formal certification or credential is awarded by an external body, as the technique has no governing body. Participants receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning that confirms they completed the training.

How is learning assessed during the training?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, you practise creating current-state and future-state maps for a realistic scenario and take part in group activities throughout the day, so you apply each concept as you learn it.

What will I be able to do after the training?

You will be able to select a product family, conduct a Gemba walk, draw a current-state map with standard symbols, identify waste and the bottleneck, design a future-state map, and build an implementation and Kaizen plan to reach it.

    How long is the training?

The programme runs for one day (8 hours) and can also be delivered as two half-day sessions. It covers Lean foundations, VSM symbols, current-state mapping, analysis, future-state design and implementation planning.

    Course Content

What topics does the VSM course cover?

The course covers six modules: Lean foundations and the eight wastes, standard VSM symbols, creating the current-state map, analysing the current state, designing the future-state map, and implementation planning and sustaining improvement.

    Are there hands-on mapping exercises?

Yes. You create both a current-state and a future-state map for a realistic operational scenario during the programme, so you practise the full method rather than only hearing about it.

What Lean concepts will I learn in value stream mapping?

You learn the five Lean principles, the eight wastes (DOWNTIME), value-added versus non-value-added work, takt time, cycle time, lead time, and push versus pull flow, all applied through the lens of the value stream map.

Does the course use the standard VSM symbols?

Yes. The training uses the standard set of process, material-flow, information-flow and inventory symbols, data boxes and the Kaizen burst, so your maps are consistent and readable across teams and organisations.

How does VSM fit with Six Sigma and Kaizen?

VSM is a core Lean tool used in the Define and Measure phases of Six Sigma DMAIC and to scope Kaizen events. The course shows how mapping outputs feed into Kaizen planning and wider operational-excellence programmes.

When can I start the course in Ukraine?

Public sessions run on a rolling schedule, and corporate sessions are arranged around your team's availability. View upcoming schedules or request a date, and we will confirm the next available batch.

Can the course be delivered onsite for my team in Ukraine?

Yes. Corporate onsite delivery lets a cross-functional team map a real value stream from your own organisation during the session, which is one of the most effective ways to run VSM training. Get a group quote to arrange it.

Can I reschedule or transfer my booking?
