    Do I need a Minitab licence, and is it included?

    You should have Minitab installed to practise during the training. Minitab is a separate commercial product from Minitab LLC. Ask us whether a trial licence is available for the session, or arrange your own licence in advance.

    Assessment

    Is there a test or assessment at the end?

    No. This is a practical, non-certification course with no formal examination. Your learning is reinforced through hands-on Minitab exercises throughout the day, using realistic quality and process datasets.

    Do I receive a certificate?

    You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning once you finish the one-day programme. It recognises your attendance and hands-on practice, and is a completion record rather than a formal qualification, as the course is skills-focused.

    How is my learning checked during the course?

    Learning is checked informally as you go. You follow each analysis live in Minitab alongside the trainer, work through guided exercises, and get feedback and answers to your questions in real time.

    Will I be able to use Minitab confidently afterwards?

    Yes. Because every technique is practised hands-on, you leave able to import data, run the right analysis, build quality charts and interpret results. Confidence comes from doing the exercises, so the day is built around practice rather than watching.

    Does this prepare me for Six Sigma project work?

    Yes. The skills map directly to the statistical work in Six Sigma DMAIC projects, including SPC, hypothesis testing, capability analysis and Gauge R&R, so you can apply them immediately to Green Belt or Black Belt projects.

    Course Content

    What topics does the Minitab course cover?

    The course covers six modules: Minitab interface and data management; descriptive statistics and graphs; hypothesis testing; statistical process control; process capability analysis; and regression with Gauge R&R. Every module includes live software exercises.

    What statistical tests will I learn in Minitab?

    You will learn normality testing, 1-sample, 2-sample and paired t-tests, one-way ANOVA with Tukey comparisons, and the chi-square test for association, along with how to interpret the p-values and confidence intervals Minitab produces.

    Which control charts and capability tools are included?

    You will build I-MR, Xbar-R, P and C control charts, apply standard control-chart rules, and run capability analysis for normal and non-normal data, including Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk and the Capability Sixpack report.

    Is the training hands-on or lecture-based?

    It is hands-on throughout. You follow the trainer live in Minitab and complete exercises on realistic quality datasets, so you practise each function as you learn it rather than watching a demonstration.

    How long is the course and what materials do I get?

    The programme runs for one day (eight hours) and covers all six modules. You receive learning materials and guided exercises, and corporate sessions can use your organisation's own data for the practice work.
