    You will be able to apply the DMADV roadmap to a design project, capture and analyse VOC with the Kano model, flow down CTQs, build a QFD House of Quality, run a Design FMEA with RPN prioritisation, apply robust design, and plan design verification and validation.

    Does this training replace a Six Sigma certification?

    No. It is a focused skills course on the design side of Six Sigma. It complements Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Black Belt learning, and pairs well with Minitab skills for the statistical analysis used within DFSS projects.

    What topics are covered in the DFSS training?

    The course covers all six DMADV phases: DFSS foundations and the DMADV roadmap, the Define phase (VOC and Kano), the Measure phase (CTQ flow-down and QFD), the Analyse phase (concept generation, Pugh matrix and DFMEA), the Design phase (robust design, P-diagram and DFMA) and the Verify phase (verification, validation and design transfer).

    How long is the Design for Six Sigma Training?

    The programme runs for one day, totalling eight hours. It can also be delivered as two half-day sessions of four hours each. Both formats cover the full DMADV methodology with hands-on tool exercises throughout.

    Are the exercises hands-on and practical?

    Yes. You apply VOC to CTQ flow-down, build a QFD House of Quality, run a Pugh concept selection matrix and complete a DFMEA worksheet, all on realistic product or process design scenarios, so you can use the tools at work straight away.

    Is the course suitable for non-manufacturing designers?

    Yes. While DFSS is common in manufacturing, the DMADV method applies to services, software and process design too. VOC, CTQ flow-down, QFD and DFMEA translate to any new design where meeting customer requirements matters.
