PMP builds project governance and delivery discipline

    Fintech and Banking Transformation

PMP builds planning and risk-management skills

    Major Infrastructure Programmes

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

The PMP (Project Management Professional) is PMI's flagship credential and the global standard for project managers. It validates your ability to lead projects and teams using predictive, agile and hybrid approaches. It suits experienced project managers, team leads and delivery professionals ready to formalise their experience.

    General

What is the PMP certification and who is it for?

The PMP (Project Management Professional) is PMI's flagship credential and the global standard for project managers. It validates your ability to lead projects and teams using predictive, agile and hybrid approaches. It suits experienced project managers, team leads and delivery professionals ready to formalise their experience.

Is the PMP certification worth it in El Salvador?

Yes. PMP-certified professionals typically earn 20 to 25 per cent more than non-certified peers and qualify for senior roles across El Salvador's banking, nearshore BPO, technology and infrastructure sectors. Employers and international clients increasingly list it as preferred or required.

What are the prerequisites for the PMP certification?

There are two paths. With a four-year degree you need 36 months of leading projects plus 35 contact hours of project management education. With a secondary diploma you need 60 months of leading projects plus the same 35 contact hours, which this training provides.

Is the PMP recognised in El Salvador?

Yes. The PMP is recognised in over 200 countries and is widely regarded as the gold standard of project management certification. It is valued by employers across El Salvador and referenced in client contracts and job specifications worldwide.

How long is the PMP certification valid?

The PMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 professional development units (PDUs) across the PMI Talent Triangle within each three-year cycle, reported through PMI's continuing certification requirements system.

    Pricing

What is included in the PMP training fee?

The fee includes PMI-aligned courseware, the 35 contact hours of education needed to apply, practice questions, mock exams, exam simulator access, downloadable templates, application guidance and post-training support. Request a quote for the current package details.

How much does PMP training cost in El Salvador?

Training cost varies by format, such as live virtual, classroom or corporate group training. Pricing is available on request, and instalment options are offered on selected plans. Talk to a learning advisor for a quote tailored to your needs.

How much is the PMP exam fee?

PMI bills the exam fee separately in USD. For reference, it is around USD 405 for PMI members and USD 555 for non-members, though figures may vary, so confirm current fees at pmi.org. Membership can lower the exam and renewal costs.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for teams, PMOs and departments. Contact us for a tailored quote for your organisation in El Salvador.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What if I do not pass the PMP exam on the first try?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Our training includes mock exams, an exam simulator and revision support to prepare you thoroughly, and selected plans let you attend the training again. Reexamination fees apply per attempt.

How many questions are on the PMP exam and how long is it?

The PMP exam has 180 questions and lasts 230 minutes (3 hours 50 minutes), including two 10-minute scheduled breaks. It uses multiple question formats: multiple choice, multiple response, matching, hotspot and limited fill-in-the-blank.

What is the passing score for the PMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed percentage pass mark. Results are determined through psychometric analysis and reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback (Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement), so aim for broad mastery across all domains.

Where can I take the PMP exam in El Salvador?

You can sit the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctored system from home or office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through Pearson VUE or the PMI portal within your one-year eligibility window.

Which edition is the PMP exam based on?

The exam references the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition alongside the PMP Examination Content Outline and the Agile Practice Guide. Our courseware is aligned to the current standard, so you prepare against the latest content rather than an older edition.

    Course Content

Do I need prior experience to take PMP training?

You can enrol in the training without prior certification, and it delivers the 35 contact hours PMI requires. To sit the exam, PMI expects documented project leadership experience, and our trainers guide you on meeting the eligibility requirements.

What topics does the PMP training cover?

The training covers the full PMP curriculum: project management fundamentals, predictive plan-based methodologies, agile frameworks, business analysis and strategic management, and stakeholder engagement and communication, all aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition.

Does the PMP exam and training cover agile?

Yes. Around half the exam covers agile and hybrid approaches, and the training includes Scrum, Kanban, Lean and XP practices alongside predictive delivery. You learn to choose and apply the right approach for each project.

    What learning materials are included?

You receive PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, full-length mock exams, an exam simulator, downloadable templates, case studies, quizzes and flashcards, plus references to the PMP Examination Content Outline and PMP Handbook.

Does the training provide the 35 contact hours needed to apply?

Yes. The programme is designed to deliver the 35 contact hours of project management education that PMI requires as part of the PMP application, and you receive a certificate confirming the hours completed.

How soon can I start and how do I enrol?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website in minutes. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you receive access to schedules, courseware and resources. See upcoming batches or talk to a learning advisor to pick a start date.
