What is the format of the PgMP exam?

The PgMP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PgMP Examination Content Outline and The Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition. Questions are distributed across five performance domains and delivered online proctored or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

How many questions are on the PgMP exam and how long is it?

The exam has 170 questions and a four-hour allotted time. It is closed book and uses single-answer and multiple-answer multiple-choice formats across the five programme management performance domains.

What is the PgMP panel review?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to the PgMP. A panel of programme management practitioners evaluates your documented experience and competency. It is mandatory in addition to the written exam, and both must be passed to earn the credential.

What is the passing score for the PgMP exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

What happens if I do not pass the exam?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period from application approval. Re-examination fees apply to the second and third attempts; confirm current amounts at pmi.org. Our prep resources help you close gaps before you retake.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full-length mock exams aligned to the 170-question, four-hour format, plus topic-wise quizzes to help you identify weak areas and build readiness for both the exam and the panel review.

Is the courseware aligned with the current PgMP standard?

Will I receive a certificate of completion?

What are the eligibility requirements for the PgMP?

Anyone can join the training. To sit the exam, PMI requires either a secondary diploma with four years of project management experience or an active PMP, plus seven years of programme management experience; a bachelor's degree reduces the programme experience to four years, all within the last 15 years.
