    What is the format of the Black Belt exam?

    The exam is a closed-book paper of 150 multiple-choice questions, with up to 15 additional unscored questions on some forms. You have four hours, and a reference document of formulas and tables is provided.

    What is the passing score for the exam?

    You need a minimum of 580 points out of 750 to pass. Questions span the five DMAIC phases, so broad mastery across Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control matters.

    How and where can I take the exam?

    The exam is delivered online with 24/7 web-based proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre. You can sit it from home, the office or a centre convenient to you in Slovenia.

    What is the exam application process?

    You purchase an exam voucher from the certifying body's order site, choose your delivery mode, then schedule and sit the proctored exam. Our team can guide you through buying the voucher and booking your slot.

    Do I need to recertify, and how?

    Yes. To keep 'Current' status you pass a recertification exam of 75 questions within the three-year window. It is closed book with a two-hour limit and a 70% pass mark.

    Do I need prior Six Sigma experience or a Green Belt?
