    The programme is delivered in one day (8 hours), covering all six Lean modules with concept explanations, real-world case examples and hands-on exercises. A half-day format across two sessions is also available.

    Are there hands-on exercises in the course?

    Yes. Hands-on activities run throughout the day, including a Gemba-based waste walk, value stream data collection, a 5S workplace assessment, an OEE calculation and a kanban quantity exercise, so you practise each tool on realistic scenarios.

    Is the content relevant beyond automotive plants?

    Yes. While Lean is rooted in manufacturing, the principles and many tools such as 5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping and waste elimination apply across pharmaceutical, food, electronics and other operations. Learners from GMP and process environments benefit too.

    Which Lean tools will I learn to use?

    You will learn value stream mapping, 5S, kanban and pull systems, Just-in-Time, Total Productive Maintenance, OEE, standard work, SMED quick changeover, Heijunka, Poka Yoke and A3 problem solving, all within the wider Lean framework.

    Assessment

    Is there an exam for this course?

    No. This is a practical, non-certification skills course, so there is no exam. Learning is reinforced through hands-on Lean tool exercises, case examples and team discussion during the programme.

    Do I receive anything on completing the training?

    Yes. On completing the one-day programme you receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning. It confirms you have covered the full Lean Manufacturing toolkit and the hands-on exercises.

    How is learning checked during the course?

    There is no formal assessment. Instead, hands-on exercises such as waste identification, value stream mapping, 5S assessment and OEE calculation let you apply each tool to realistic scenarios and confirm your understanding as you go.

    Do the Lean skills need renewing over time?

    No. There is nothing to renew. The Lean knowledge and tools are immediately applicable to your work and do not expire, so you can keep using them on improvement projects long after the training.

    What can I progress to after this course?
