    Is there an exam or credential for this course?

    No. Kanban training is a non-certification, skills-based course with no exam. Learning is reinforced through hands-on design exercises, case examples and group discussion during the programme.

    What will I receive on completing the training?

    You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning. There is no formal credential from an external body, as this is a practical skills course focused on applying Kanban at work.

    How is my learning checked during the course?

    There is no formal assessment. Instead, you apply Kanban through practical exercises such as kanban quantity calculation, loop design, board design, WIP setting and CFD interpretation, so you practise the skills as you learn them.

    Will I be able to apply Kanban straight away?

    Yes. The course is built around real scenarios, so you leave able to design kanban loops and boards, set WIP limits, and measure flow. Many learners apply these skills at work within days of finishing.

    Does this course prepare me for other Lean or Agile learning?

    Yes. Kanban complements Value Stream Mapping, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and Lean Six Sigma training, as well as Scrum and SAFe. It adds the flow and pull-system dimension to any Lean or Agile learning path.

    What topics does the Kanban training cover?

    The course covers Kanban origins and pull production, manufacturing kanban types and mechanics, kanban sizing and implementation, knowledge-work boards and WIP limits, flow metrics and the Cumulative Flow Diagram, and implementing and sustaining Kanban.

    What is the difference between production and withdrawal kanban?

    A production kanban authorises an upstream process to make a set quantity of parts, while a withdrawal kanban authorises moving parts from a supermarket to the downstream process. Together they form a closed-loop pull system, which the course covers in detail.

    Will I learn how to set WIP limits?

    Yes. You learn why work-in-progress limits are the defining feature of Kanban, how to set sensible starting limits, and how to adjust them from flow data to reduce lead time and surface bottlenecks.

    Are there hands-on exercises in the course?

    Yes. The day includes practical exercises in push versus pull, kanban quantity calculation, kanban loop design, Kanban board design, WIP setting and CFD interpretation, applied to realistic manufacturing and IT scenarios.

    What materials and format are provided?

    The training is instructor-led, with course materials, worked examples and design templates. It is delivered live online, in a classroom, or on-site for teams, so you can learn in the format that suits you.
