    How many questions are on the CSM exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 50 multiple-choice questions and you have 60 minutes to complete it. It is delivered online and is open book, so you may refer to materials during the test.

    What is the passing score for the CSM exam?

    The passing score is 74%, meaning you must answer at least 37 of the 50 questions correctly. Focus on broad understanding across all six topic areas of the CSM Learning Objectives.

    What if I do not pass the CSM exam the first time?

    Candidates typically have up to three attempts to pass within 90 days of completing the course. The training is built to prepare you for a first-attempt pass, and you can revisit the courseware between attempts. Verify the current attempt policy at scrumalliance.org.
