Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

The PMI-RMP is PMI's specialist certification in project risk management, recognising expertise in identifying, assessing, responding to and monitoring risk. It is designed for risk specialists, senior project managers, PMO analysts and consultants who focus on risk across projects and programmes.

    General

What is the PMI-RMP certification and who is it for?

The PMI-RMP is PMI's specialist certification in project risk management, recognising expertise in identifying, assessing, responding to and monitoring risk. It is designed for risk specialists, senior project managers, PMO analysts and consultants who focus on risk across projects and programmes.

Is the PMI-RMP worth it in Romania?

Yes. Risk manager roles in Romania average around RON 222,101 a year and rise higher at senior level, while banks are growing risk headcount 15-20% through 2026. As a globally recognised PMI credential, the PMI-RMP helps you stand out in a market where specialist risk talent is scarce.

Do I need a PMP before taking the PMI-RMP?

No. PMP is not a prerequisite for the PMI-RMP. You can apply directly based on your project risk management experience and education. Many holders do carry both, as the two credentials complement each other well.

What standard is the PMI-RMP based on?

The exam is based on the PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline (ECO) effective January 2022, aligned to the PMI Practice Standard for Project Risk Management and the PMBOK Guide. It covers risk management across predictive, agile and hybrid approaches.

How long is the PMI-RMP certification valid?

The PMI-RMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 30 PDUs in risk management topics within each three-year cycle through PMI's Continuing Certification Requirements system.

    Pricing

What is included in the PMI-RMP training fee?

The training fee typically covers PMI-aligned courseware across all five domains, practice questions, mock exams, downloadable templates, application guidance and learner support with a certificate of completion. The exam fee is separate. Request a quote for current pricing in Romania.

How much does the PMI-RMP exam cost?

For reference, the PMI exam fee is about USD 520 for PMI members and USD 670 for non-members, and prices may vary. PMI membership of roughly USD 139 a year reduces the exam cost and gives free access to the Practice Standard for Project Risk Management. Confirm current fees at pmi.org.

Is the exam fee included in the course price?

No. PMI bills the PMI-RMP exam fee separately in USD under regional pricing, so it is not part of the training fee. Our team can guide you on membership and exam booking to keep costs efficient.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts in Romania?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for project teams, PMOs and delivery functions. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

What payment methods and instalment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What if I do not pass the PMI-RMP exam first time?

You have up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period from application approval. Our practice questions, mock exams and trainer guidance are designed to build readiness so you go into the exam prepared.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The PMI-RMP exam has 115 questions and lasts 2.5 hours (150 minutes). It is closed book, with single-answer and multiple-answer multiple-choice questions delivered via Pearson VUE.

What are the PMI-RMP exam domains and weights?

The exam covers five domains from the January 2022 ECO: Risk Strategy and Planning (20%), Risk Identification (20%), Risk Analysis (23%), Risk Response (22%) and Monitor and Close Risks (15%).

What is the passing score for the PMI-RMP exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

Where can I take the PMI-RMP exam in Romania?

You can sit the exam online via Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctored system from home or office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or the Pearson VUE website.

    Course Content

Do I need prior experience to take the training?

Anyone can enrol in the training. To sit the exam, PMI requires project risk management experience and risk education; the amounts depend on your degree level. The training gives you the risk education hours and the knowledge to prepare.

What topics does the PMI-RMP training cover?

The training covers all five domains: risk strategy and planning, identification, analysis, response, and monitor and close. You practise tools such as SWOT, the Delphi technique, probability and impact matrices, Monte Carlo simulation, decision trees and expected monetary value.

Does the training include practice questions and mock exams?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions mapped to the ECO, full-length mock exams and topic-wise quizzes, so you can identify weak areas and build confidence for the 115-question closed-book format.

Does this training meet the PMI-RMP education requirement?

The 32 contact hours fully satisfy the 30-hour risk education requirement for bachelor's degree holders (Set B) and GAC-accredited degree holders (Set C). Set A candidates with a secondary diploma need 40 hours and should add supplementary study.

Is the courseware aligned to the current exam outline?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline effective January 2022 and the PMI Practice Standard for Project Risk Management, covering predictive, agile and hybrid risk practice.

    Enrollment

How soon can I start and how do I enrol?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website and join upcoming live online or classroom batches, or arrange corporate training. Choose your format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules and learning resources. Talk to a learning advisor to pick a batch.

What are the eligibility requirements for the exam?

    What training formats are available?

We offer live virtual instructor-led training, classroom training and customised corporate group training, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule and learning style in Romania.
