What Is the PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner Certification?UntitledYour Route to Structured Project Delivery

The PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner certification is a globally recognised project management credential that proves you can first work within, and then lead, projects run using PRINCE2 (PRojects IN Controlled Environments), the structured method owned by AXELOS and examined by PeopleCert. This PRINCE2 certification training in the Philippines takes you through both levels on a single pathway. The current standard is the PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023), which introduces People as a core capability, renames Themes to Practices, and integrates agile and sustainability. You study the seven principles, seven practices and seven processes, then learn to tailor them to real project scenarios ahead of the two PeopleCert exams. The combo suits project coordinators, IT and BPM project leads, and delivery managers across Manila, Cebu and Clark who want a method that employers in IT-BPM, banking and infrastructure trust. Holding both Foundation and Practitioner positions you for project manager and delivery roles, where senior salaries rise well beyond ₱1.6M a year.

    General

Is the PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner certification worth it in the Philippines?

Yes. PRINCE2 is a globally recognised project method, and Filipino employers in IT-BPM, banking and infrastructure increasingly want structured project governance. Holding both Foundation and Practitioner positions you for project manager and delivery roles, where senior salaries rise well beyond ₱1.6M a year.

What is PRINCE2 and which edition does the training cover?

PRINCE2 (PRojects IN Controlled Environments) is a structured, scalable project management method covering seven principles, People capability, seven practices and seven processes. The training is based on the current PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023), published by PeopleCert and AXELOS.

What is the difference between the Foundation and Practitioner levels?

Foundation validates that you understand the PRINCE2 method well enough to work within a PRINCE2 team. Practitioner validates that you can apply and tailor PRINCE2 to real project scenarios. The combo covers both, taken as two separate PeopleCert exams.

Who should take this PRINCE2 combo course?

It suits project coordinators, IT and BPM project leads, aspiring and practising project managers, and team members working in PRINCE2 environments. It is also valuable for PMP or CAPM holders working in markets where PRINCE2 is preferred.

How long are the PRINCE2 certifications valid?

Both PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner are valid for three years. Foundation is renewed by earning 60 CPD points per cycle, and Practitioner can be renewed by re-taking the exam, completing CPD via a MyAxelos subscription, or passing a higher PRINCE2 qualification.

    Pricing

What is included in the PRINCE2 training fee?

The fee typically includes PRINCE2 7 aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, manual navigation practice, and learner support for both levels. Exam vouchers are often bundled through the accredited package. Request a quote to confirm what your enrolment includes.

How much does PRINCE2 certification training cost in the Philippines?

Training is priced by format, such as live virtual, classroom or corporate group delivery, and is available on request in local terms. PeopleCert exam fees are billed separately and vary by region and channel. Talk to a learning advisor for current pricing.

Are the exam fees part of the course price?

Exam fees are set by PeopleCert and can vary by region and purchasing channel. They are often bundled into the accredited training and dual-exam package, but you should confirm whether both Foundation and Practitioner vouchers are included before you enrol.

Do you offer group or corporate pricing?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for PMOs, IT functions and delivery teams across the Philippines. Ask about corporate or group pricing for a tailored quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you and to see upcoming batches.

    Exam

What is the format of the PRINCE2 Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam is closed book with 60 multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes. The pass mark is 60%, meaning 36 of 60 correct. It tests knowledge and comprehension of the PRINCE2 method and has no formal prerequisites.

What is the format of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam is open book, with the PRINCE2 Managing Successful Projects manual permitted. It has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks over 150 minutes, and the pass mark is 60%, meaning 42 of 70 marks. It uses scenario-based questions.

Are there prerequisites for the Practitioner exam?

Yes. Practitioner requires PRINCE2 Foundation, or an accepted equivalent such as PMP, CAPM or IPMA Level A to D. On the combo pathway you sit Foundation first, then Practitioner, so the prerequisite is met within the programme.

Where and how do I take the PRINCE2 exams?

Both exams are delivered by PeopleCert, either online via the OnVUE proctored system available 24/7, or at an authorised test centre. They are usually arranged through the accredited training and dual-exam package.

What happens if I do not pass an exam the first time?

You can re-sit a PeopleCert exam; re-examination fees apply and re-sit policies are set by PeopleCert. Our training focuses on full-syllabus mastery with mock exams and practice questions to help you prepare thoroughly for both levels.

    Course Content

What topics does the PRINCE2 training cover?

The programme covers the seven PRINCE2 principles, the People capability, the seven practices, formerly themes, and the seven processes, plus tailoring. Practitioner content adds applying and tailoring PRINCE2 to project scenarios, including agile and hybrid delivery.

Can a beginner take this course?

Yes. Foundation has no formal prerequisites and suits those new to PRINCE2 or project management. The training builds from principles up to Practitioner-level application, with trainer guidance and practice throughout, so beginners can follow the full pathway.

    What learning materials are provided?

You receive PRINCE2 7 aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, quizzes and guidance on navigating the Managing Successful Projects manual for the open-book Practitioner exam, along with dedicated learner support.

Is the courseware aligned with the latest PRINCE2 edition?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023) and the PeopleCert Foundation and Practitioner syllabus, including the new People capability and the renaming of Themes to Practices.

Does the course cover agile and hybrid delivery?

Yes. PRINCE2 7 integrates agile and sustainability considerations, and the Practitioner content covers tailoring PRINCE2 governance to agile and hybrid teams, including using PRINCE2 alongside iterative delivery approaches.

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. See upcoming batches or talk to a learning advisor to get started.
