    What is the format of the PgMP exam?

    The PgMP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PgMP Examination Content Outline and The Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition. Questions are distributed across the five programme management performance domains.

    How many questions are on the PgMP exam and how long is it?

    The PgMP exam has 170 questions and an allotted time of four hours. It is delivered online through Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

    What are the PgMP exam domains and their weights?

    Five domains: Strategic Program Management (11%), Program Life Cycle Management (44%), Benefits Management (11%), Stakeholder Engagement (16%) and Governance (18%). Program Life Cycle Management is the largest, so weight your preparation accordingly.

    What is the PgMP panel review?

    The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to the PgMP. A panel of programme management practitioners evaluates your documented experience. You must pass both the panel review and the written exam to earn the credential.

    What is the passing score, and what if I do not pass?

    PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains. You get up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period; our prep and mock exams help you pass. Talk to a learning advisor about exam readiness.

    You receive PMI-aligned courseware, references to the PgMP Examination Content Outline and Handbook, mock exams, an exam simulator, scenario practice questions, templates and quizzes to help you identify weak areas and build readiness.

    Is the courseware aligned with the current PgMP standard?

    What are the eligibility requirements to earn the PgMP?

    PMI offers three eligibility sets. With a secondary diploma you need 48 months of project experience (or an active PMP) plus 84 months of programme experience; with a four-year degree, 48 months of each; a GAC-accredited degree reduces the programme requirement to 36 months. All experience must be within the last 15 years.
