Market Forces Fuelling Programme Leadership Demand in Oslo

    Energy Transition Complexity

Oslo's energy leaders run offshore wind, electrification and decarbonisation alongside oil and gas, demanding programme-grade coordination of many related projects, the exact capability the PgMP validates.

PgMP builds strategic alignment and coordination skills

    Strategy-Execution Gap

Boards approve transformation and capex programmes, but weak links between strategy and the funded work cause value leakage that certified programme leaders are now hired to fix.

PgMP builds prioritisation and benefits-realisation skills

    Public Sector Digitalisation

Norway's public agencies are digitising citizen services at scale, requiring programme governance, benefits tracking and stakeholder engagement across multiple interdependent projects.

PgMP builds governance and stakeholder skills

    Programme Talent Scarcity

Oslo's talent pool is deep in project managers but thin in credentialed programme leaders. The PgMP's rigorous eligibility and panel review make holders rare and sought-after.

PgMP makes certified programme leaders stand out

Regulatory and Digital Change in Finance

Oslo banks and insurers manage regulatory change and core-system modernisation as multi-workstream programmes, needing leaders who can govern risk and benefits at the programme level.

PgMP builds programme risk and governance skills

    Capital-Efficiency Pressure

Cost discipline across energy, maritime and BFSI pushes organisations to focus programmes on strategic value, cutting low-value work and rebalancing to the outcomes that matter.

    Pricing

How much does PgMP training cost in Oslo?

    Exam

What if I do not pass the PgMP exam first time?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period, and our training and practice resources are built to prepare you thoroughly. Reexamination fees apply to the second and third attempts; confirm current amounts on pmi.org.

How many questions are on the PgMP exam and how long is it?

The PgMP exam has 170 multiple-choice questions and a four-hour allotted time. It is closed book and delivered via Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

What are the PgMP exam domains and their weights?

Five performance domains: Strategic Program Management (11%), Program Life Cycle Management (44%), Benefits Management (11%), Stakeholder Engagement (16%) and Governance (18%), per the PgMP Examination Content Outline.

What is the passing score for the PgMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed pass mark. Results are determined through psychometric analysis and reported with domain-level feedback (Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement), so focus on broad mastery across all five domains.

What is the PgMP panel review?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to the PgMP. A panel of programme management practitioners evaluates your documented experience. It is a mandatory step alongside the written exam, and both must be passed to earn the credential.

    Course Content

Do I need prior experience to take the PgMP training?

Anyone can attend the training, but to sit the exam PMI requires substantial experience: a degree with 48 months of project and 48 months of programme management experience, or a secondary diploma with more programme experience. An active PMP can satisfy the project experience requirement.

What topics does the PgMP training cover?

The training covers the five PgMP performance domains: Strategic Program Management, Program Life Cycle Management, Benefits Management, Stakeholder Engagement and Governance, plus application and panel-review guidance and exam strategy.

Which standard and syllabus is the training aligned to?

The courseware is aligned to The Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition, and the current PgMP Examination Content Outline (ECO) from PMI, so your preparation reflects what the exam actually assesses.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams and topic-wise quizzes mapped to the ECO, helping you identify weak areas and build readiness for the 170-question exam.

Will I receive a certificate of completion?

Yes. After meeting the course requirements you receive a course completion certificate along with the contact hours earned through the programme, which support your PMI application and PDU records.
