    Will I be able to run a DMADV project after the course?

    Yes. You will be able to apply the DMADV roadmap to a design project, capture VOC, build a QFD House of Quality, run a Design FMEA, apply robust design, and plan design verification and transfer.

    Does this course prepare me for a Six Sigma belt?

    This is a standalone design skills course, not belt preparation. It complements Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Black Belt learning by adding the DMADV design methodology that DMAIC training does not cover.

    Course Content

    What topics does the course cover?

    The course covers DFSS foundations and the DMADV roadmap, the Define phase (VOC and Kano), the Measure phase (CTQ flow-down and QFD), the Analyse phase (concept selection and Design FMEA), the Design phase (robust design and DFMA) and the Verify phase (verification, scorecard and transfer).

    What tools will I learn to use?

    You will use core DFSS tools including voice of the customer and the Kano model, Quality Function Deployment, the Pugh concept selection matrix, Design FMEA with Risk Priority Numbers, the P-diagram and robust design, and the design scorecard.

    How long is the training?

    The programme runs for one day, around eight hours, covering all six DMADV phases with concept explanations, real-world design examples and hands-on tool exercises. A two half-day format is also available.

    Are there hands-on exercises?

    Yes. You apply VOC to CTQ flow-down, build a QFD House of Quality, work through a Pugh matrix and complete a Design FMEA worksheet, all on realistic product and process design scenarios.

    Is the course suitable for beginners?

    Yes. The course introduces every DFSS tool and the DMADV methodology from first principles, so beginners can follow it, while Six Sigma practitioners gain the design counterpart to their DMAIC skills.
