What Is Quality Function Deployment and How Does It Work?UntitledFrom Customer Voice to Design Specification
Quality Function Deployment Training in Malawi introduces Quality Function Deployment (QFD), a structured, customer-driven method for turning the Voice of the Customer into precise engineering and process specifications. Developed in Japan by Yoji Akao and Shigeru Mizuno and first applied at the Kobe Shipyard, QFD gives product, design and quality teams a repeatable way to build products customers actually want. Over a focused one-day (8 hour) programme, you learn to capture customer requirements, build and interpret the House of Quality matrix, resolve design trade-offs, and cascade decisions through product planning, parts deployment, process planning and production planning. Hands-on House of Quality exercises run throughout, so you leave able to apply the method at work. This is a practical skills course with no formal assessment. Participants receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning and immediately usable QFD capability for new product development, service design and Six Sigma projects across Malawi's growing manufacturing base.
