PMI-CP has become a strong marker of construction project leadership across Morocco, valued by contractors, developers and public agencies delivering the country's World Cup 2030, high-speed rail, port and airport programmes. Why Construction Employers in Morocco Value PMI-CP Skills

    Rising Contract and Claims Complexity

Morocco's mega-projects run on layered, high-value contracts where claims, variations and disputes are common. PMI-CP's 50% Contracts Management domain is built to close exactly this gap.

PMI-CP builds contract and claims management skill

    Shortage of Certified Construction Leaders

The talent pool is deep in site engineers but thin in credentialed construction project managers. PMI-CP's mandatory modules and experience bar make holders rare and sought-after.

PMI-CP makes certified professionals stand out

    Mega-Project Coordination at Scale

Stadiums, high-speed rail and airport terminals demand coordination across dozens of contractors and interfaces. Employers need leaders who can govern scope, schedule and delivery at scale.

PMI-CP builds scope, schedule and interface skill

    Stakeholder and Regulatory Pressure

Public builds must satisfy owners, regulators, communities and financiers at once. PMI-CP's Stakeholder Engagement domain equips managers to keep approvals and relationships on track.

    PMI-CP builds stakeholder engagement skill

    Cost and Schedule Overrun Risk

Capital discipline on World Cup and infrastructure budgets leaves little room for overruns. Certified leaders who govern cost, risk and change protect value on every project.

PMI-CP builds governance and risk skill

    Aligning to Global Delivery Standards

International contractors and lenders expect delivery aligned to recognised standards. A PMI credential signals that Moroccan professionals can work to global construction practice.

    Govern Projects and Ensure Compliance

Establish governance structures, reporting and document control, support project audits, and maintain regulatory and ethical compliance. Project Governance ties the delivery framework together and keeps accountability clear.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

PMI-CP (PMI Construction Professional) is the Project Management Institute's specialist credential for professionals who deliver construction projects. It is designed for construction project managers, contracts managers, site managers and owner's representatives who want to validate construction-specific project management expertise.

    General

What is the PMI-CP certification and who is it for?

PMI-CP (PMI Construction Professional) is the Project Management Institute's specialist credential for professionals who deliver construction projects. It is designed for construction project managers, contracts managers, site managers and owner's representatives who want to validate construction-specific project management expertise.

Is the PMI-CP worth it for construction professionals in Morocco?

Yes. With Morocco investing in World Cup 2030, high-speed rail, port and airport programmes, employers actively seek certified construction leaders. Construction project managers earn around MAD 224,000 a year on average, with director roles reaching far higher, so the credential supports strong career and earning growth.

How is PMI-CP different from PMP?

PMP is a broad project management credential covering all industries, while PMI-CP is a specialist credential focused on construction. Its largest domain is Contracts Management at 50%, reflecting the centrality of contracts and claims in construction. The two are complementary, and many construction professionals hold both.

Is the PMI-CP recognised in Morocco?

Yes. As a PMI credential, PMI-CP carries global recognition across PMI's network in more than 200 countries. It is valued by Moroccan and international contractors, developers and public agencies who want construction delivery aligned to recognised standards.

What makes PMI-CP unique among construction certifications?

PMI-CP combines construction expertise with PMI's globally recognised framework. Its four domains, Contracts Management, Stakeholder Engagement, Strategy and Scope Management and Project Governance, reflect real construction priorities. Its mandatory prerequisite modules, which award 56 PDUs in total, are also unique among PMI credentials.

    Pricing

How much does PMI-CP training cost in Morocco?

PMI-CP training fees vary by format and are available on request. The training fee is separate from the PMI exam fee, which PMI bills in USD under regional pricing. Contact a learning advisor for a quote tailored to your chosen format.

What is included in the PMI-CP course fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, revision support, guidance on the four mandatory modules and the PMI application, learner support, and a course completion certificate with contact hours.

How much is the PMI-CP exam fee?

For reference, the PMI-CP exam is around USD 520 for PMI members and USD 670 for non-members, billed separately in USD. PMI individual membership is around USD 139 a year and can reduce the exam cost. Verify current fees at pmi.org before applying.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts for PMI-CP training?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for project teams, sites and PMOs. Ask about corporate pricing for a tailored quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

How many questions are on the PMI-CP exam and how long is it?

The PMI-CP exam has 120 questions and a duration of 230 minutes (3 hours 50 minutes). It is closed book and uses multiple-choice question formats, including single-answer and multiple-answer items.

What are the four PMI-CP exam domains and their weights?

Per the PMI-CP Examination Content Outline (ECO), the four domains are Contracts Management (50%), Stakeholder Engagement (30%), Strategy and Scope Management (15%) and Project Governance (5%).

What is the passing score for the PMI-CP exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail, with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all four domains.

How many attempts do I get and where can I take the exam?

You get up to three attempts within the one-year eligibility window after application approval. The exam is delivered online through Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

What are the prerequisites and mandatory modules for PMI-CP?

Candidates must complete four self-paced modules (Project Communications, Interface Management, Scope and Change Order Management, and Contract and Risk Management) plus one experience set: Set A needs a secondary diploma and 60 months construction PM experience; Set B a bachelor's and 36 months; Set C a GAC-accredited degree and 24 months. All sets require 35 contact hours of PM education.

    Course Content

What will I learn in the PMI-CP training?

You will learn to evaluate and administer construction contracts, manage claims and variations, engage stakeholders, align strategy, scope and schedule, and govern projects. The training covers all four PMI-CP domains and prepares you for the exam.

Which standard and edition is the course aligned to?

The course is aligned to the PMI-CP Examination Content Outline (ECO) and the current edition of the PMBOK Guide, along with construction industry standards and practices referenced in the ECO. This keeps your preparation matched to what PMI actually tests.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions mapped to the ECO and full-length mock exams aligned to the 120-question, 230-minute format, helping you identify weak areas and build readiness.

Do I need a PMP before taking PMI-CP?

No. PMP is not a prerequisite for PMI-CP. You can apply based on your construction project management experience and education. The two credentials are complementary, with PMP validating general PM skill and PMI-CP validating construction-specific expertise.

Does this training meet the 35 contact hours requirement?

The instructor-led programme provides 32 contact hours, which is close to but below the 35 contact hours of project management education required across all eligibility sets. Check with our team on whether supplementary self-study is credited towards the 35-hour requirement.

    Enrollment

What are the eligibility requirements to enrol in PMI-CP training?

Anyone can enrol in the training. To sit the exam, PMI requires completion of the four mandatory modules plus one experience set (Set A, B or C), each combining a qualification, construction PM experience within the last 10 years, and 35 contact hours of PM education.

How do I enrol in the PMI-CP course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Talk to a learning advisor if you need help choosing a batch.

    What training formats are available?

We offer live virtual (online) instructor-led training, classroom training, and customised corporate group training, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule and team needs.

How do I maintain my PMI-CP certification?

PMI-CP is valid for three years. To renew, you earn 60 PDUs across the PMI Talent Triangle, with a minimum of 8 PDUs in each area, within each three-year cycle. The 56 PDUs from the four mandatory modules can be applied towards renewal.

Can I reschedule or transfer my enrollment to another batch?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch on selected plans. Contact support to arrange a change that suits your schedule.
