    General

What is the PMI Construction Professional (PMI-CP) certification?

PMI-CP is PMI's specialist certification for the construction industry. It validates your ability to manage construction projects across four domains: contracts management (50%), stakeholder engagement (30%), strategy and scope management (15%) and project governance (5%). It is designed for construction project managers and senior site professionals.

Who should take PMI-CP training in Tangier?

PMI-CP training suits construction project managers, site managers, project engineers, contracts managers and owner's representatives delivering building, civil or infrastructure work. In Tangier it is especially relevant for professionals on port, stadium, industrial and rail projects.

Is the PMI-CP recognised in Morocco?

Yes. PMI-CP is a globally recognised PMI credential valued in over 200 countries, including Morocco, where employers on major projects such as Tanger Med and World Cup 2030 works increasingly seek certified construction project managers.

    Do I need a PMP before PMI-CP?

No. The PMP is not a prerequisite for PMI-CP. You can pursue PMI-CP directly based on your construction project management experience and education. The two credentials are complementary, with the PMP covering general project management and PMI-CP validating construction-specific expertise.

How long is the PMI-CP certification valid?

PMI-CP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 PDUs across the PMI Talent Triangle within each three-year continuing certification requirements (CCR) cycle, with a minimum of eight PDUs in each area.

    Pricing

How much does PMI-CP training cost in Tangier?

PMI-CP training fees in Tangier are available on request and depend on your chosen format and schedule. The PMI exam fee is billed separately by PMI. Request a quote from a learning advisor for a tailored price.

What is included in the PMI-CP course fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, exam guidance, downloadable templates, learner support and a course completion certificate with contact hours. Exact inclusions depend on the format you choose.

Is the exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the PMI-CP exam fee separately in USD under regional pricing, around USD 520 for members and USD 670 for non-members (verify current fees at pmi.org). PMI membership can reduce the exam cost.

    What payment options are available?

    Exam

What if I do not pass the PMI-CP exam first time?

You have up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period from application approval. Our training includes practice questions and mock exams to build readiness, and our team can guide you on rebooking through PMI if you need another attempt.

How many questions are on the PMI-CP exam and how long is it?

The PMI-CP exam has 120 questions and runs for 230 minutes (3 hours 50 minutes). It is closed book with multiple-choice questions in single-answer and multiple-answer formats.

What are the PMI-CP exam domains and their weights?

The PMI-CP exam covers four domains from the Examination Content Outline: contracts management (50%), stakeholder engagement (30%), strategy and scope management (15%) and project governance (5%). Contracts management is by far the largest domain.

What is the passing score for the PMI-CP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed percentage pass mark. The result is determined through psychometric analysis, with domain-level feedback reported as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so focus on broad mastery across all four domains.

Where can I take the PMI-CP exam in Tangier?

You can sit the PMI-CP exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring from home or office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through Pearson VUE or the PMI portal once your application is approved.

What are the prerequisites for the PMI-CP exam?

PMI-CP has two parts. First, complete all four mandatory self-paced PMI-CP course modules. Second, meet one experience set: a secondary diploma with 60 months of construction PM experience, a bachelor's degree with 36 months, or a GAC-accredited degree with 24 months, each plus 35 contact hours of PM education.

    Course Content

Can I take PMI-CP training without prior construction experience?

You can attend the training to build knowledge, but the PMI-CP exam requires construction project management experience. PMI asks for 24 to 60 months depending on your education. The training helps you prepare and count toward the 35 contact hours of PM education.

What topics does the PMI-CP training cover?

The training covers the four PMI-CP domains: contracts management, stakeholder engagement, strategy and scope management, and project governance, plus exam strategy. You learn contract types, claims, stakeholder engagement, scope, risk, quality and governance for construction projects.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full-length mock exams mapped to the 120-question PMI-CP format, plus topic-wise quizzes, to help you identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

Is the courseware aligned to the latest PMI-CP syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current PMI-CP Examination Content Outline (ECO) and the current PMBOK Guide, so you study the domains and construction practices the exam actually tests.

Does the training meet the 35-hour education requirement?

The instructor-led programme delivers 32 contact hours, which is close to but below PMI's 35 contact hours of project management education required for eligibility. Check with our team on supplementary self-study that can be credited toward the 35-hour requirement.
