    Is the Agile Scrum Foundation worth it in Latvia?

    Do I need prior experience to get ASF certified?

    No. Agile Scrum Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to all, regardless of education, experience or prior agile knowledge. It is designed to be accessible to complete beginners.

    How long is the ASF certification valid?

    The certification is valid for life. It does not expire and requires no renewal, re-examination or continuing education, so once you pass you hold the credential permanently.

    Is EXIN ASF recognised internationally?

    Yes. EXIN is an internationally recognised examination body operating in over 165 countries, with particular strength in Europe. EXIN Agile Scrum certifications are recognised by employers globally, including across the Baltic tech market.

    What is the format of the EXIN ASF exam?

    The ASF exam is closed book with single-answer multiple-choice questions, based on the EXIN Agile Scrum Foundation examination specification and aligned to the Scrum Guide and Agile Manifesto. It can be taken online proctored or at an accredited location.

    How many questions are on the ASF exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 40 questions and a time limit of 60 minutes (1 hour). It is a closed-book, multiple-choice format.

    What is the passing score for the ASF exam?

    You need 65% to pass, which means answering at least 26 of the 40 questions correctly.

    What topics does the EXIN ASF exam cover?

    The exam covers five topic areas: Agile Way of Thinking (20%), Scrum Practices (30%), Scrum Planning and Estimation (20%), Monitoring Scrum Projects (15%) and Advanced Scrum Concepts (15%).

    What if I do not pass the exam the first time?

    You can re-sit the EXIN exam. Our practice questions, mock exams and trainer guidance are designed to support a first-attempt pass, and you can verify the current re-sit fee and policy with EXIN before booking again.

    Course Content

    What will I learn in the ASF training?

    You will learn the agile way of thinking, the Scrum framework (roles, events and artefacts), Scrum planning and estimation, project monitoring, and advanced Scrum concepts, all mapped to the five EXIN ASF exam topic areas.

    Do I need prior Scrum knowledge to take the course?

    No. The course is beginner-friendly and assumes no prior agile or Scrum experience. Trainer-led explanations and hands-on practice help you build understanding from the ground up.

    How long is the ASF training programme?

    The programme runs for 16 hours, usually delivered as two full days or four half-days depending on the schedule format you choose.

    What learning materials are provided?

    You receive EXIN-aligned courseware, industry case studies, practice questions and mock exams, plus trainer support to reinforce the Scrum framework and prepare you for the exam.

    Is the courseware aligned to the current EXIN standard?

    Yes. The courseware is aligned to the EXIN Agile Scrum Foundation examination specification, the Scrum Guide and the Agile Manifesto, so you study the current, authoritative content.
