What is the format of the Yellow Belt exam?

The Yellow Belt exam is a closed-book test of 60 multiple-choice and true/false questions, with a two-hour allotted time. Some forms include a few additional unscored pretest questions. It covers all five DMAIC phases at a foundational level.

What is the passing score for the Yellow Belt exam?

You must achieve a minimum of 230 points out of 300 to pass the IASSC Yellow Belt exam. Questions are spread across the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control phases, so aim for broad coverage of all five.

How and where is the exam delivered?

The exam is available through the IASSC web-based, on-demand online proctored system, accessible at any time, or at PearsonVUE testing centres in many countries. You can choose the delivery method that suits you when you buy your voucher.
