What Is Driving Demand for Lean Six Sigma Skills in Cambodia

    High Defect and Rework Rates

Cambodia's garment and assembly factories still battle inconsistent quality and costly rework. Yellow Belt holders bring a structured DMAIC approach to find root causes and cut defects on the line.

Yellow Belt builds DMAIC problem-solving skills

    Buyer and Compliance Pressure

International brands and programmes such as Better Factories Cambodia demand consistent quality and documented processes. Certified team members help factories meet standards and keep export orders flowing.

Yellow Belt supports quality and standards work

    Quality Skills Shortage

Technical roles such as quality control are among the hardest to fill, worsened by high worker turnover. A recognised Yellow Belt helps professionals stand out and helps employers build capability fast.

Yellow Belt makes professionals stand out

    Industrial Diversification

As output shifts toward electronics, auto parts and travel goods, tighter process control matters more. Yellow Belt skills support the precision these higher-value production lines require.

Yellow Belt builds process control awareness

    Special Economic Zone Expansion

SEZs around Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville keep adding factories and investors. Standardised, waste-free processes are vital, and Yellow Belts form the base layer of any improvement team.

Yellow Belt forms the improvement base layer

    Thin Continuous Improvement Capability

Few Cambodian professionals hold formal Lean Six Sigma credentials, so improvement teams lack support staff. A Yellow Belt builds that foundation and a clear path toward Green Belt.
