    What is the format of the PgMP exam?

    The PgMP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PgMP Examination Content Outline and The Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition. It is delivered via Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctoring or at a test centre, across five performance domains.

    How many questions are on the PgMP exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 170 questions and an allotted time of four hours (240 minutes). Results are reported with domain-level feedback rather than a fixed percentage pass mark, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

    What are the PgMP exam domains and their weights?

    Five domains: Strategic Program Management (11%), Program Life Cycle Management (44%), Benefits Management (11%), Stakeholder Engagement (16%) and Governance (18%). Program Life Cycle Management carries the greatest weight and deserves the most preparation time.

    What is the PgMP panel review?

    The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to PgMP. A panel of programme management practitioners evaluates your documented experience and competency. It is a mandatory step alongside the written exam, and both must be passed to earn the credential.

    What if I do not pass the first time?

    What are the eligibility requirements for PgMP?

    There are three sets. With a secondary diploma: four years of project management (or an active PMP) plus seven years of programme experience. With a bachelor's degree: four years plus four years. With a GAC-accredited degree: three years plus three years. All experience must fall within the past 15 years.
