The PfMP is valid for three years. You maintain it by earning 60 PDUs across PMI's Talent Triangle, with a minimum of 8 PDUs in each area, within every three-year cycle.

How much does PfMP training cost in Yokohama?

What if I do not pass the PfMP exam first time?

How many questions are on the PfMP exam and how long is it?

The PfMP exam has 170 multiple-choice questions and a four-hour (240-minute) allotted time. It is closed book and delivered online or at a test centre.

What are the PfMP exam domains and their weights?

Five performance domains: Strategic Alignment (25%), Governance (20%), Portfolio Performance (25%), Portfolio Risk Management (14%) and Communications Management (16%), per the PfMP Examination Content Outline.

What is the passing score for the PfMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed pass mark. Results are determined psychometrically and reported as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement by domain, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

Where can I sit the PfMP exam near Yokohama?

You can take the exam online through Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring, or at a Pearson VUE test centre in the Greater Tokyo area. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or Pearson VUE within your one-year eligibility window.

What is the PfMP panel review?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to the PfMP. A panel of portfolio practitioners evaluates your documented portfolio experience. You must pass both the panel review and the written exam to earn the credential.

Can I take PfMP training without prior portfolio experience?

Anyone can attend the training, which builds portfolio governance knowledge and exam readiness. To sit the PfMP exam, however, PMI requires substantial business and portfolio management experience, which we help you document.

What topics does the PfMP training cover?

The training covers the five PfMP domains: Strategic Alignment, Governance, Portfolio Performance, Portfolio Risk Management and Communications Management, plus PfMP application guidance, panel-review preparation and exam strategy.

What learning resources are included?

You receive PMI-aligned courseware, references to the PfMP ECO and Handbook, a Standard for Portfolio Management overview, portfolio templates, flashcards and chapter-wise quizzes.

Are mock exams and practice questions included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams and an exam simulator, so you can identify weak areas and build confidence before the real exam.

Is the courseware aligned to the current PfMP syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to The Standard for Portfolio Management, 4th Edition, and the current PfMP Examination Content Outline.

How many contact hours does the training provide?

The instructor-led programme provides 24 contact hours of portfolio management training across the five domains, which also count towards PDUs for professionals maintaining other PMI credentials.

What are the eligibility requirements to earn the PfMP?

PMI requires a secondary diploma with 84 months of portfolio experience, or a four-year degree with 48 months (36 months from a GAC-accredited degree), plus 120 months of business experience within the last 15 years, and a panel review.
