Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

PRINCE2 Practitioner is the advanced credential from AXELOS and PeopleCert that validates your ability to apply and tailor PRINCE2 to a real project scenario. It is designed for practising and aspiring project managers, and for PRINCE2 Foundation holders ready to progress.

    General

What is the PRINCE2 Practitioner certification and who is it for?

PRINCE2 Practitioner is the advanced credential from AXELOS and PeopleCert that validates your ability to apply and tailor PRINCE2 to a real project scenario. It is designed for practising and aspiring project managers, and for PRINCE2 Foundation holders ready to progress.

Is PRINCE2 Practitioner worth it for project managers in Milan?

Yes. Milan employers in banking, consulting, technology and manufacturing increasingly want project managers who deliver to a recognised standard. Senior project manager roles in the city average around EUR 60,000, and the credential is portable across European and Commonwealth markets.

Which edition of PRINCE2 does the training cover?

The training is aligned to PRINCE2 7 (7th Edition, 2023), the current version published by PeopleCert and AXELOS. It reflects the new People capability, sustainability and the move from themes to practices.

    Is PRINCE2 Practitioner recognised internationally?

Yes. PRINCE2 is recognised worldwide, with particular strength across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Commonwealth countries. PeopleCert operates in over 200 countries, so the credential travels with you.

How long is the PRINCE2 Practitioner certification valid?

PRINCE2 Practitioner is valid for three years. You can renew by retaking and passing the exam, completing CPD through a PeopleCert MyAxelos subscription, or passing a higher-level PRINCE2 qualification.

What is the difference between Foundation and Practitioner?

Foundation is a closed-book test of PRINCE2 knowledge and is the prerequisite. Practitioner is open book and scenario based, testing your ability to apply and tailor the method. Practitioner is the advanced, highest-standard PRINCE2 credential.

    Pricing

How much does PRINCE2 Practitioner training cost in Milan?

Training fees vary by format and provider, and packages are available on request. The PeopleCert exam fee is billed separately in euros under regional pricing. Request a quote for current Milan pricing and group rates.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes accredited courseware, scenario-based practice, mock questions, open-book exam technique and learner support. Many packages bundle the exam voucher, so confirm the inclusions when you enrol.

Is the exam fee included in the training price?

It depends on the package. PRINCE2 Practitioner is often bought as a combined training and exam bundle through an accredited training organisation, but the PeopleCert exam fee can also be paid separately. Ask your advisor which applies.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for teams and PMOs in Milan. Contact us for a tailored quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam is open book and scenario based. It has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks, and the PRINCE2 Managing Successful Projects manual is permitted throughout.

How long is the exam and how many questions are there?

You have 150 minutes (2 hours 30 minutes) to answer 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks. The questions test application and analysis, not simple recall.

What is the passing score for the Practitioner exam?

The pass mark is 60%, which means at least 42 of the 70 available marks. Because the exam is scenario based, deep method knowledge and efficient manual navigation both matter.

What are the prerequisites to sit the exam?

You need PRINCE2 Foundation, or an accepted equivalent such as PMP, CAPM or IPMA Level A to D. Verify the current accepted equivalents with PeopleCert before you book.

Where can I take the exam in Milan?

You can sit the exam online through PeopleCert's OnVUE proctoring, available 24/7, or at an authorised test centre. It is usually arranged through your accredited training organisation.

What happens if I do not pass on the first attempt?

You can resit the exam. Our training includes scenario practice and exam technique to prepare you thoroughly. Confirm the current resit policy and fees with PeopleCert.

    Course Content

What topics does the PRINCE2 Practitioner training cover?

The training covers the nine official Practitioner syllabus areas: principles, practices, processes, key roles and responsibilities, people management, sustainability and ESG, digital and data management, communication, and tailoring.

Can a beginner take this course?

PRINCE2 Practitioner is designed for those with PRINCE2 Foundation or an accepted equivalent. If you are new to PRINCE2, we recommend completing Foundation first, and our advisors can guide your pathway.

    What learning resources are provided?

You receive accredited courseware, scenario-based exercises, practice questions, the PRINCE2 7 method reference and open-book exam technique guidance to prepare for the Practitioner paper.

Are there practice questions and mock exams?

Yes. The programme includes scenario-based practice questions and mock exams modelled on the 56-question, 150-minute open-book format, so you can identify weak areas and build readiness.

Is the courseware aligned to the latest PRINCE2 syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to PRINCE2 7 (7th Edition, 2023) and the official PeopleCert PRINCE2 7 Practitioner syllabus.
