    What is the format of the PfMP exam?

    The PfMP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PfMP Examination Content Outline and the Standard for Portfolio Management, Fourth Edition. Questions are distributed across the five portfolio management performance domains.

    How many questions are on the PfMP exam and how long is it?

    The PfMP exam has 170 questions and a four-hour allotted time. It uses single-answer and multiple-answer multiple-choice formats delivered online or at a test centre.

    What is the passing score for the PfMP exam?

    PMI does not publish a fixed pass mark. The result is determined through psychometric analysis, and performance is reported by domain as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

    How do I schedule and take the PfMP exam?

    After your application is approved and you clear the panel review, schedule the exam through Pearson VUE, either via OnVUE online proctoring or at a test centre. You have a one-year eligibility period and up to three attempts within it.

    What is the PfMP panel review?

    The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to the PfMP. A panel of portfolio management practitioners evaluates your documented portfolio experience and competency. It is mandatory alongside the written exam, and both must be passed to earn the credential.

    What topics are covered in the PfMP training?

    The training covers the five PfMP performance domains: Strategic Alignment (25%), Governance (20%), Portfolio Performance (25%), Portfolio Risk Management (14%) and Communications Management (16%), plus the application, panel review and exam strategy.

    What learning resources and materials are provided?

    You receive PMI-aligned courseware, references to the PfMP Examination Content Outline and Handbook, an overview of the Standard for Portfolio Management, Fourth Edition, templates, flashcards and chapter-wise quizzes.

    Are practice tests and mock exams included?

    Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams, an exam simulator and topic-wise quizzes to help you identify weak areas and build exam readiness across all five domains.

    Is the courseware aligned with the latest PfMP syllabus?

    Yes. The courseware is aligned to PMI's Standard for Portfolio Management, Fourth Edition, and the current PfMP Examination Content Outline, so you study against the standard the exam is built on.

    Will I receive a certificate of completion after the training?

    Yes. After meeting the course requirements you receive a course completion certificate along with the contact hours earned through the programme, which also count as PDUs.

    What are the eligibility requirements to earn the PfMP?

    PMI sets three requirement sets. Set A: secondary diploma plus 120 months of business experience and 84 months of portfolio management experience. Set B: a four-year degree plus 120 months business and 48 months portfolio experience. Set C: a GAC-accredited degree plus 120 and 36 months. All must fall within the past 15 years, and a panel review applies.

    How do I enrol in the PfMP course?
