    For Individuals

    For Individuals

Earning the credential turns years of project leadership into something an employer can verify at a glance. It validates competence across predictive, agile and hybrid delivery, and it is recognised by hiring managers in more than 200 countries. Whether you are a delivery lead moving up in an IT services firm, a functional manager formalising an unofficial project role, or an engineer running capital works, the training gives you the exam preparation and the applied practice to make the shift.

In a market where more than 56,000 India job listings referenced the credential in mid-2026, being certified is what moves your CV from the pile to the shortlist. You finish with exam readiness, application support and a credential employers already trust.

    • Lifts your earning potential: certified holders in India report roughly a 13% premium over non-certified peers
    • Opens senior roles such as Senior Project Manager, PMO Manager and Program Manager, where the credential is often mandatory
    • Proves you can run both predictive and agile delivery, the hybrid mix most Indian employers actually work in
    • Carries weight in over 200 countries, so your experience travels when you change employer, sector or geography
    • Delivers the 35 contact hours of project management education PMI requires before you apply
    • Builds credibility with sponsors and clients who now specify certified managers in contracts and bids
    • Gives you a structured, examinable vocabulary for governance, risk, benefits and stakeholder decisions
    • Positions you for the next step towards PMI's programme and portfolio credentials
    For Organizations

    For Organizations

Group training builds a consistent delivery language across your organisation. Teams learn the same planning, governance, risk and stakeholder practices, so status reporting, escalation and decision-making stop varying by manager. For Indian enterprises running large transformation portfolios, capital projects or global client engagements, this is the difference between projects that report progress and projects that deliver value.

If your delivery leaders were promoted on technical strength rather than trained in project governance, group training closes that gap. You get a shared standard, measurable capability and managers who can hold a project to its baseline.

    • Standardises how projects are planned, governed and reported across delivery teams and business units
    • Reduces schedule slippage and cost overruns through disciplined baselines, change control and earned value
    • Equips managers to lead predictive, agile and hybrid work with one shared vocabulary
    • Strengthens bids and client conversations where certified project managers are a stated requirement
    • Improves benefits realisation by linking project delivery to business cases and strategy
    • Builds a repeatable internal bench of delivery leaders instead of relying on external hires
    • Supports retention by giving high-potential managers a visible growth path
    • Enables customised group delivery aligned to your sectors, tools and governance model

Why Indian Employers Need Certified Project Leaders

Cost and Time Overruns on Capital Projects

India's monitored project pipeline carries cumulative cost overruns running into lakhs of crores. Employers want managers who can hold a baseline, forecast honestly and control change.

Learn baselines, earned value and change control

Hybrid Delivery Is Now the Default

Indian enterprises run plan-driven and iterative work side by side. The current PMI exam gives 28% to predictive methods and 27% to agile, so certified managers can lead either.

Master predictive and agile in one credential

    GCC Growth Outpacing Delivery Leadership

More than 2,100 global capability centres in India employ over 2.3 million people. Their growing project portfolios need leaders who govern delivery to a standard the parent company trusts.

Lead delivery to a global standard

    Transformation Spend Under Value Scrutiny

Boards fund digital programmes but struggle to prove the return. Business analysis and strategic management now carries 18% of the exam, the exact skills that close that gap.

Connect delivery to business cases and benefits

    Clients Are Specifying Certified Managers

Indian IT services and consulting firms bid for work that requires credentialed project managers, and senior delivery roles above five years experience routinely list it as preferred.

Meet what tenders and job specs demand

    Stakeholders Spread Across Time Zones

Teams in India serve sponsors and users worldwide. Stakeholder engagement and communication is a standalone exam domain at 12%, reflecting where delivery most often breaks down.

    What Our Learners Say

    Untitled

Passed First Time and Moved Up

"I had run delivery for eight years without a credential to show for it. The sessions on the agile and business analysis domains were where I learned the most, and the mock exams told me exactly where I was weak. I passed on my first attempt and moved into a senior delivery role three months later."

    Application Support Made the Difference

"The application guidance was worth the fee on its own. I had no idea how to document 36 months of project leadership properly. The trainer walked us through it, and the earned value and change control sessions have already changed how I report to my sponsor."

    Project Manager, BFSI

Strong on Both Predictive and Agile

"I came from a construction background and was nervous about the agile content. The trainer used examples from both worlds, so the Scrum and Kanban material actually landed. Practical, well paced and never just reading off slides."

One Delivery Standard Across Our Teams

"We put fourteen delivery managers through the programme. Status reporting and escalation used to vary by manager, which made portfolio reviews painful. Six months on we have one governance language, and our schedule variance has visibly tightened."

Closed a Real Gap in Our Bids

"Client tenders kept asking for certified project managers and we were short. Invensis Learning ran a customised cohort around our release calendar, with case studies from our own sector. Ten of our managers are now certified and we are answering those bids with confidence."

    General

Is the PMP certification worth it in India?

Yes. Certified holders in India report roughly a 13% pay premium over non-certified peers, with average pay around Rs 20 lakh a year, and senior bands such as Technical Program Manager averaging about Rs 27 lakh. Naukri carried more than 56,000 listings citing the credential in July 2026. Talk to a learning advisor about your target role.

What is the PMP and who is it for?

The PMP is PMI's flagship project management credential, validating your ability to lead projects and teams using predictive, agile and hybrid approaches. It suits experienced project managers, delivery leads, PMO professionals and functional managers who already lead project work and want it formally recognised.

Which standard is the current exam based on?

The current PMI exam is aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition and its updated Examination Content Outline, which also draws on the Agile Practice Guide. Our courseware is mapped to that edition, so you prepare against what the exam actually tests today.

Is the certification recognised outside India?

Yes. The credential is recognised in more than 200 countries and is widely treated as the global standard for project managers. It appears in employer job specifications, client contracts and government procurement requirements worldwide, so it travels with you across sectors and geographies.

How long is the certification valid and how do I renew it?

It is valid for three years from the date of certification. To renew, you earn 60 professional development units (PDUs) within each three-year cycle across PMI's Talent Triangle, with a minimum of 8 PDUs in each of Ways of Working, Power Skills and Business Acumen, and pay the PMI renewal fee.

    Pricing

What is included in the training fee and how do I pay?

The fee covers instructor-led sessions, PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, exam simulator access, case studies, application guidance, the 35 contact hours certificate and post-training support. Training in India is quoted in INR and pricing is available on request. Request a quote and we will confirm current options.

Is the PMI exam fee part of the course price?

No. PMI bills the exam fee separately in USD under its regional pricing, and you pay it directly when you apply through pmi.org. PMI members pay a lower exam fee than non-members, so an annual membership often pays for itself. Confirm current fees on the PMI website before applying.

Do you offer group or corporate pricing?

Yes. We offer volume-based pricing for corporate cohorts, along with customised schedules, sector-relevant case studies and consolidated reporting for L&D teams. Ask about corporate and group pricing for your team.

Are instalment or EMI options available?

Instalment options are available on selected plans, alongside card and bank transfer payments. A learning advisor can walk you through the options that apply to the format you choose.

What other costs should I budget for beyond training?

Budget for the PMI exam fee, billed in USD under regional pricing, and optionally PMI membership, which reduces the exam and renewal fees and gives free access to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition and the Agile Practice Guide. Reexamination fees apply only if you resit.

    Exam

What if I do not pass the exam on the first attempt?

You get up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility window, and PMI charges a reduced reexamination fee for the second and third. Your domain-level feedback shows exactly where you fell short, and our trainers help you target revision and use the simulator before you resit.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The exam has 180 questions and runs for 230 minutes, which is 3 hours 50 minutes including two scheduled 10 minute breaks. Question types include multiple choice with single and multiple answers, matching, hotspot and limited fill-in-the-blank.

What domains does the exam cover and what are the weights?

The current outline has five domains: Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts (15%), Predictive Plan-Based Methodologies (28%), Agile Frameworks and Methodologies (27%), Business Analysis and Strategic Management (18%), and Stakeholder Engagement and Communication (12%).

    What is the passing score?

PMI does not publish a fixed pass mark. The result is set through psychometric analysis, and you receive a pass or fail decision with performance feedback per domain, reported as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement. Aim for consistent competence across all five domains.

Where can I sit the exam in India?

You can take it at a Pearson VUE test centre, available across major Indian cities, or from home or office through Pearson VUE's OnVUE online proctored system. You schedule it through PMI's portal or Pearson VUE once your application is approved.

Does the exam cover agile as well as traditional project management?

Yes, substantially. Agile Frameworks and Methodologies is a dedicated domain worth 27% of the exam, covering Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP and hybrid models, while Predictive Plan-Based Methodologies carries 28%. You are expected to lead both, and the training prepares you for that.

    Course Content

Do I need prior experience to take this training?

Anyone can attend the training, and it is structured so that team leads and functional managers can follow it. To sit the PMI exam, however, you need documented project leadership experience: 36 months with a four-year degree, or 60 months with a secondary school qualification.

What topics are covered in the syllabus?

The syllabus follows the five performance domains of the current PMI outline, aligned to the 8th edition of the PMBOK Guide, and covers predictive planning, scheduling and earned value, agile frameworks, business analysis and benefits, and stakeholder engagement, plus exam strategy and application support.

Does the training count towards the 35 contact hours PMI requires?

Yes. The programme delivers the project management education hours PMI requires as part of your application, and you receive a certificate recording them. Where supplementary self-study is needed to reach the full 35 hour threshold, we tell you upfront and provide the material.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. You get practice questions matched to the 180 question, 230 minute PMI format across all question types, plus an exam simulator, chapter quizzes and full-length mocks. These pinpoint your weak domains before you sit the real thing.

How practical is the training compared with pure exam cramming?

Sessions are led by accredited trainers who have run real projects, and they teach through case studies, exercises and scenario discussion. The exam is scenario-based rather than recall-based, so applied practice is also the most effective way to prepare for it.

    Enrollment

How soon can I start and how do I enrol?

You can enrol online, pick an upcoming batch and get immediate access to courseware and learning resources. We run live online cohorts regularly, alongside classroom sessions and corporate batches across India. See upcoming schedules or talk to a learning advisor about the best start date for you.

What training formats are available in India?

You can choose online (live virtual) instructor-led training, in-person classroom sessions, or a customised corporate programme delivered onsite or virtually for your team. Weekday and weekend schedules are available so the training fits around your delivery commitments.

What steps do I follow from enrolment to certification?

Confirm you meet PMI's education and experience requirements, complete the training and earn your contact hours, submit your application on pmi.org, pay the exam fee once approved, then schedule the exam through Pearson VUE within your one-year eligibility window.

Can I reschedule or move to another batch?

Yes. You can reschedule or transfer to a later batch, and selected plans let you attend the training again. Contact our support team and we will arrange it around your work schedule.

What if PMI audits my application?

PMI randomly audits a share of applications and asks for supporting documents, such as employer verification letters and training certificates, within 90 days. Our application guidance helps you record your experience and education correctly from the start, so an audit is a formality rather than a problem.
