    The PgMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 PDUs across the PMI Talent Triangle, with at least 8 PDUs in each area, within each three-year continuing certification requirements (CCR) cycle.

    What is the format of the PgMP exam?

    The PgMP exam is a closed-book, computer-based, multiple-choice examination based on the PgMP Examination Content Outline and The Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition. It is delivered via Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

    How many questions are on the PgMP exam and how long is it?

    The PgMP exam has 170 questions and an allotted time of four hours. Results are reported with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, rather than a fixed percentage score.

    What are the five PgMP exam domains and their weights?

    The five performance domains are Strategic Program Management (11%), Program Life Cycle Management (44%), Benefits Management (11%), Stakeholder Engagement (16%) and Governance (18%), as defined in the current PgMP Examination Content Outline.

    What is the passing score for the PgMP exam?

    PMI does not publish a fixed percentage pass mark. The result is determined through psychometric analysis, so focus on broad mastery across all five performance domains rather than a target number.

    What is the PgMP panel review and how many attempts do I get?

    The panel review is a multi-rater assessment of your documented programme experience by programme management practitioners. You must pass it alongside the exam. PMI permits up to three exam attempts within a one-year eligibility period.

    Which standard and edition is the PgMP based on?

    The PgMP exam is based on the PgMP Examination Content Outline and PMI's Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition. Our courseware is aligned to that fourth edition standard and the current ECO.

    Do I need the PMP before taking the PgMP?

    No. The PMP is not a mandatory prerequisite. However, an active PMP satisfies the project management experience requirement across all three PgMP eligibility sets, so PMP holders only need to document their programme management experience.

    Are practice tests, mock exams and assignments included?

    Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams and topic-wise quizzes mapped to the PgMP domains, helping you identify weak areas and build readiness for the 170-question, four-hour exam.

    Will I receive a certificate of completion after the training?

    Yes. After meeting the course requirements you receive a course completion certificate along with the contact hours earned through the programme, which support your PMI application and PDU records.

    What are the eligibility requirements for the PgMP?

    PMI offers three sets. With a secondary diploma: 48 months of project management experience or an active PMP, plus 84 months of programme management experience. With a bachelor's degree: 48 months of each. All experience must fall within the past 15 years, plus a panel review.

    How do I enrol in the PgMP course?

    What training formats are available in India?
