What Is Kanban and What Can It Do for Your Workflow?UntitledThe Visual Pull System Explained

Kanban Training in Hungary is a practical, one-day programme that teaches you to manage work with a visual, pull-based system instead of pushing tasks by schedule or forecast. Kanban began in the Toyota Production System, where Taiichi Ohno used simple signal cards to trigger production only when real downstream demand called for it, removing overproduction and excess inventory. The course covers Kanban in two settings. On the factory floor you learn production and withdrawal kanban, supermarkets, kanban sizing and the six Kanban rules. In IT and Agile delivery you learn Kanban boards, work-in-progress limits, flow metrics and the Cumulative Flow Diagram, an approach formalised for knowledge work by David J. Anderson. This is a non-certification skills course with no test to sit; instead you practise designing real Kanban systems you can use the next day. For professionals across Hungary's automotive plants, service centres and software teams, Kanban is a fast route to shorter lead times and more predictable delivery. Start building the skill with Invensis Learning.

Why Kanban Skills Are in Demand Across Hungary

    EV Factory Ramp-Up Strain

BMW in Debrecen, BYD in Szeged and CATL are scaling at once in 2026, and plants need pull-based scheduling to synchronise supply and avoid costly overproduction.

Kanban builds pull scheduling and sizing skills

    Talent Competition on the Line

With over 150,000 people in automotive and new EV plants hiring hard, employers need staff who can run lean kanban systems that get more flow from existing teams.

Kanban helps teams do more with the same people

    Fragile Just-In-Time Supply

Just-in-time supply to Hungary's assembly plants breaks under disruption. Kanban replenishment and supermarket design help stabilise flow between suppliers and lines.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

Kanban is a visual, pull-based method for managing work, where a signal such as a card, an empty bin or a board column authorises the next piece of work only when there is real demand and capacity. It began in the Toyota Production System and is now used in both manufacturing and Agile knowledge work to cut waste and improve flow.

    General

What is Kanban and how does it work?

Kanban is a visual, pull-based method for managing work, where a signal such as a card, an empty bin or a board column authorises the next piece of work only when there is real demand and capacity. It began in the Toyota Production System and is now used in both manufacturing and Agile knowledge work to cut waste and improve flow.

Who should attend Kanban training in Hungary?

The training suits production managers, manufacturing and Lean engineers, supply chain professionals, Scrum Masters, Agile coaches, IT and project managers, and anyone responsible for the flow of work. It is relevant across Hungary's automotive plants, service centres and software teams.

Is Kanban only for manufacturing or also for software teams?

Kanban works in both. The course covers manufacturing Kanban, with pull production, supermarkets and kanban sizing, and knowledge-work Kanban, with boards, WIP limits and flow metrics for IT, software and service teams. Many teams also combine it with Scrum as Scrumban.

Do I need prior Lean or Agile experience to join?

No prior experience is required. The course introduces every Kanban concept from first principles, so beginners can follow it. Some familiarity with production or Agile delivery is helpful but not essential.

Is Kanban training worth it for professionals in Hungary?

Yes. With automotive, electronics, logistics and software all competing on delivery speed in Hungary, the ability to run pull systems and improve flow is a practical, in-demand skill. You leave able to apply it to your own work the next day.

    Pricing

How much does Kanban training in Hungary cost?

Pricing varies by delivery format, whether you join a live online session, a classroom session or a corporate group programme, and by group size. For current fees, request a quote and a learning advisor will share the options that fit your needs.

What is included in the Kanban course fee?

The fee covers instructor-led training across all six Kanban modules, hands-on design exercises, course materials and learner support, plus a course completion record from Invensis Learning. Ask about group rates for teams.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with volume-based pricing and customised schedules for plants, departments and leadership teams. Contact us for a tailored quote for your organisation.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

Are there any hidden fees for the training?

No. The quoted fee covers the training, exercises, materials and support. Because this is a skills course with nothing to sit afterwards, there are no separate examination or renewal costs.

    Assessment

Is there a test to sit for the Kanban course?

No. This is a non-certification skills course, so there is nothing to sit at the end. Your learning is reinforced through hands-on Kanban design exercises, case examples and group discussion during the programme.

Do I get any recognition after the Kanban training?

Yes. You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning once you finish the programme. It confirms your participation and the practical Kanban skills you have built, which apply immediately at work.

How is my learning assessed during the course?

Learning is checked through practical activities rather than a formal test. You calculate kanban quantities, design pull loops and Kanban boards, set WIP limits and interpret a Cumulative Flow Diagram, applying each concept to realistic scenarios.

Is Kanban a credential or a skills course?

This is a practical skills course. Kanban itself is a workflow method rather than a governed credential, so the training focuses on building capability you can use straight away in manufacturing or Agile knowledge work.

How long does the Kanban training take?

The programme runs for one full day of eight hours, covering all six Kanban modules with concept explanations, real-world examples and hands-on design exercises. A half-day format across two days is also available.

    Course Content

What topics does the Kanban training cover?

The course covers Kanban origins and pull production, manufacturing kanban types and mechanics, kanban sizing and implementation, knowledge-work Kanban boards and WIP limits, flow metrics and the Cumulative Flow Diagram, and how to implement and sustain Kanban over time.

Will I learn both manufacturing and Agile Kanban?

Yes. You learn manufacturing Kanban, including production and withdrawal kanban, supermarkets and the six Kanban rules, and Agile Kanban, including board design, WIP limits, flow metrics and Scrumban for software and service teams.

    What hands-on exercises are included?

Exercises run throughout the day: identifying push versus pull, calculating kanban quantities, designing a manufacturing kanban loop, building an Agile Kanban board, setting WIP limits and interpreting a Cumulative Flow Diagram.

What are WIP limits and will the course teach them?

Work-in-progress limits cap how many items can be in each stage of a workflow at once, which forces teams to finish before starting and exposes bottlenecks. The course teaches you how to set and adjust them using flow data.

Does the course cover flow metrics and the Cumulative Flow Diagram?

Yes. You learn to measure lead time, cycle time and throughput, apply Little's Law, and read a Cumulative Flow Diagram to spot where work in progress is building and to forecast delivery.
