It suits project managers, delivery leads, engineers and team members in Guyana with project leadership experience who want a qualification employers value worldwide.

    General

What is the PMP certification and who is it for?

The PMP (Project Management Professional) is PMI's globally recognised credential for professionals who lead and direct projects. It suits project managers, delivery leads, engineers and team members in Guyana with project leadership experience who want a qualification employers value worldwide.

Is the PMP worth it for professionals in Guyana?

Yes. With Guyana ranked the world's fastest-growing economy, oil, construction and infrastructure projects are creating strong demand for certified project managers. The PMP validates your skills, boosts credibility and opens doors to higher-paying senior roles.

Which standard is the PMP based on?

The PMP is aligned to the PMBOK Guide Eighth Edition and the PMP Examination Content Outline. Around half the exam covers agile and hybrid approaches alongside predictive project management, reflecting how projects run today.

What are the prerequisites for the PMP?

Two paths apply. With a four-year degree you need 36 months leading projects plus 35 contact hours of project management education. With a secondary diploma you need 60 months leading projects plus the same 35 contact hours, which this training provides.

How long is the PMP valid and how do I renew it?

The PMP is valid for three years. To maintain it you earn 60 PDUs across the PMI Talent Triangle within each three-year cycle, with at least eight PDUs in each area, reported through PMI's CCR system.

    Pricing

How much does PMP training cost in Guyana?

PMP training fees vary by format and provider, and the PMI exam fee is billed separately. Contact us for current pricing and to compare live online, classroom and corporate options. Request a quote to find the plan that fits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the PMP exam?

The PMP is a computer-based exam of 180 questions delivered via Pearson VUE, online proctored or at a test centre. It uses multiple-choice, multiple-response, matching, hotspot and limited fill-in-the-blank questions across the exam content outline.

How long is the PMP exam?

You have 230 minutes (3 hours 50 minutes) to complete the 180 questions, including two scheduled 10-minute breaks.

What is the passing score for the PMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed pass mark. The result is set through psychometric analysis and reported as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement by domain, so aim for broad mastery across all areas.

What are the PMP exam domains?

The current exam covers People (42%), Process (50%) and Business Environment (8%). The updated exam aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition expands to five domains: Fundamentals, Predictive Methodologies, Agile Frameworks, Business Analysis and Stakeholder Engagement.

What if I do not pass the first time?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Reexamination fees apply to the second and third attempts. Our practice tests and trainer support are designed to help you pass with confidence.

Where can I take the PMP exam?

You can sit the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring from home or office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal within your one-year eligibility window.
