What Is Six Sigma Awareness Training?UntitledYour Practical Route to Quality Improvement

Six Sigma Awareness Training in Fiji is a one-day, instructor-led programme that introduces the Six Sigma methodology, a data-driven approach to reducing process variation and eliminating defects. In a single eight-hour session you learn what Six Sigma is, how the DMAIC roadmap works, and the key concepts and roles that make improvement projects succeed. Six Sigma began at Motorola in the 1980s and spread worldwide after GE's landmark deployment. Its goal is famous: fewer than 3.4 defects per million opportunities. This awareness course gives employees, supervisors and managers enough understanding to contribute to and support Six Sigma work, without needing to become a practising Green Belt or Black Belt. For organisations across Fiji's manufacturing, tourism, food processing, banking and outsourcing sectors, a shared awareness of Six Sigma helps teams speak a common quality language and back decisions with data. You leave able to follow a DMAIC project, use the vocabulary with confidence, and see where improvement can be made in your own work. On completion you receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning.

    General

What is Six Sigma Awareness Training?

Six Sigma Awareness Training is a one-day introductory programme that explains the Six Sigma methodology, the DMAIC roadmap, key quality concepts and Lean Six Sigma. It is designed for employees, supervisors and managers who want to understand Six Sigma and support improvement projects, without becoming a practising Green Belt or Black Belt.

Is Six Sigma Awareness Training worth it?

Yes. It gives you a shared quality vocabulary and a practical understanding of how data-driven improvement works, which is increasingly valued by employers across Fiji's manufacturing, tourism, banking and outsourcing sectors. It is also a low-risk first step before Yellow Belt or Green Belt training.

Who should attend this Six Sigma course?

The course suits employees involved in improvement work, supervisors and managers who lead those teams, senior leaders sponsoring quality programmes, and anyone considering Yellow Belt or Green Belt later. No prior quality or statistical knowledge is needed.

Do I need any prior experience or prerequisites?

No. There are no prerequisites. The programme is designed to be accessible to everyone, from front-line staff to senior managers, regardless of prior quality or statistical background.

What is DMAIC in Six Sigma?

DMAIC stands for Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control. It is the five-phase Six Sigma roadmap for improving existing processes, and this course gives you an awareness-level understanding of what happens in each phase.

    Pricing

How much does Six Sigma Awareness Training cost in Fiji?

Pricing varies by delivery format (live virtual, classroom or corporate onsite) and group size. Fees for the Fiji market are available on request. Contact a learning advisor for current pricing and a tailored quote for individuals or teams.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes instructor-led training across all six modules, course materials and learning resources, interactive case studies and exercises, and a course completion record from Invensis Learning. Request a quote for full inclusions.

Do you offer corporate or group pricing?

Yes. Group and corporate rates are available and are popular with Fijian employers training whole teams as part of a quality programme launch. Contact us for volume-based pricing tailored to your organisation.

Are there payment or instalment options?

Yes. We accept major cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you best.

Are there any fees beyond the training cost?

No. This is a non-certification awareness course with no separate examination fee. You pay only the training fee, and you receive a course completion record on finishing the one-day programme.

    Assessment

Is there an exam for this course?

No. Six Sigma Awareness Training has no examination. Learning is reinforced through interactive discussion, real-world case studies and team exercises during the one-day programme.

Will I receive anything on completion?

Yes. You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning once you complete the one-day programme. It confirms your attendance and awareness-level understanding of Six Sigma.

Does this course qualify me to lead Six Sigma projects?

No. This is an awareness-level introduction and does not qualify you to lead Six Sigma projects. To become a practising professional, you would progress to Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt training.

How is my understanding checked during the day?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, interactive discussions and team exercises throughout the programme let you apply Six Sigma concepts to your own work context as you learn.

What will I be able to do after completing the training?

You will be able to explain what Six Sigma is, follow the five DMAIC phases, use the key vocabulary confidently, understand the Six Sigma roles, and take part effectively in improvement projects and Lean Six Sigma initiatives.

    Course Content

What topics does the Six Sigma course cover?

The programme covers six areas: an introduction to Six Sigma history and philosophy, key concepts and terminology, the DMAIC methodology, Six Sigma roles and structure, an awareness-level look at key tools, and Lean Six Sigma in practice.

    How long is the training?

The programme runs for one day (eight hours). It can be delivered as a single full day or split across two half-days, covering all six modules with discussion and case studies throughout.

What quality tools will I learn about?

You gain awareness of core tools such as SIPOC, fishbone (Ishikawa) diagrams, Pareto charts, control charts, Gauge R&R and process capability, and you see how each is used within a DMAIC project, without needing to be a practitioner.

    Is Lean Six Sigma included?
