Market Forces Making BPM Skills Valuable in Fiji

    Rapid BPO Growth Outpacing Skills

Fiji's outsourcing sector is scaling toward 25,000 jobs by 2030, but employers struggle to fill process and analysis roles. Trained BPM practitioners help close that widening skills gap.

BPM builds process modelling and analysis skills

    Digital Government Under DigitalFIJI

The National Digital Strategy targets 80 per cent of services online by 2030. Agencies need documented, streamlined processes before they can digitise licensing, registration, and fee collection.

BPM builds process documentation and redesign skills

    Undocumented, Person-Dependent Workflows

Many Fijian firms still run processes that live in people's heads. BPM brings consistency, auditability, and clear BPMN 2.0 models that survive staff turnover and scale.

BPM brings consistency and BPMN models

    Cost and Capital-Efficiency Pressure

As the economy diversifies beyond tourism, organisations must cut waste and improve throughput. BPM analysis targets exactly this, exposing delay, rework, and non-value-added steps.

BPM builds waste-analysis and optimisation skills

    ISO 9001 and Compliance Demands

Exporters and service providers must meet the ISO 9001:2015 process approach in Clause 4.4. BPM turns that requirement into modelled, measured, and governed processes.

    BPM operationalises the process approach

    Automation Applied to Broken Processes

Firms rush to automate or add RPA without fixing the underlying flow. BPM ensures processes are mapped and improved first, so technology delivers value instead of locking in waste.

Improvement efforts that are ad hoc and rarely measured

    Now you have

Skills recognised only within your current team or employer

    Now you have

Portable BPM and process-modelling skills valued across sectors

    Analyse Processes and Find Waste

Use value-added analysis, cycle-time measurement, and Lean waste categories to expose bottlenecks, rework, waiting, and delay, then build the case for change.

    Redesign Processes for Results

Apply simplification, standardisation, automation, and error-proofing to redesign a process for lower cost, faster throughput, and fewer errors.

    Measure Performance with KPIs

Define lead time, cycle time, first-pass yield, and other process KPIs, then set up dashboards and reviews that keep performance visible and on track.

    Govern and Continuously Improve

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

Business Process Management training is a practical, one-day skills course that teaches you to identify, model, analyse, redesign, and continuously improve business processes. It is grounded in the BPMN 2.0 standard and the ABPMP BPM Common Body of Knowledge, and it applies to any industry or function.

    General

What is Business Process Management training?

Business Process Management training is a practical, one-day skills course that teaches you to identify, model, analyse, redesign, and continuously improve business processes. It is grounded in the BPMN 2.0 standard and the ABPMP BPM Common Body of Knowledge, and it applies to any industry or function.

Is BPM training worth it for professionals in Fiji?

Yes. As Fiji's outsourcing, banking, and digital-government sectors expand, employers increasingly need people who can document and improve processes. BPM skills help you take on process analyst, operations, and improvement roles, and you can apply BPMN modelling and analysis at work from day one.

Who should attend this BPM course?

The course suits business analysts, process owners, operations and service-delivery managers, IT professionals, quality staff, and change practitioners. Anyone responsible for designing, managing, or improving a process in any sector will benefit, whatever their prior training.

Do I need prior experience to take BPM training?

No. There are no formal prerequisites, and the course introduces BPM from first principles. Some familiarity with business operations is helpful but not required, so newcomers and experienced practitioners can both take part.

Which standard and framework does the training follow?

The training is built around BPMN 2.0 (ISO/IEC 19510) for process modelling and the ABPMP BPM Common Body of Knowledge. It also connects to the ISO 9001:2015 process approach and to Lean and Six Sigma improvement tools used within the BPM lifecycle.

    Pricing

How much does BPM training cost in Fiji?

Fees vary by delivery format (live virtual, classroom, or corporate) and group size, so BPM training in Fiji is priced on request. Contact a learning advisor for a current quote and upcoming schedules.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically covers instructor-led training across all six BPM modules, hands-on BPMN modelling and process-analysis exercises, templates and learning resources, learner support, and a course completion record from Invensis Learning.

Do you offer group or corporate pricing?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for operations, quality, and cross-functional teams. Ask about corporate and group pricing for a tailored quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

Is it cheaper to train a whole team together?

Usually, yes. Corporate group delivery is quoted per programme rather than per seat, which is often more cost-effective for teams and lets everyone learn a shared method. Request a group quote to compare.

    Assessment

Is there an exam for BPM training?

No. This is a non-certification skills course with no exam. Learning is reinforced through hands-on BPMN modelling exercises, process-analysis workshops, and group discussion during the one-day programme.

What do I receive after completing the course?

You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning, along with practical skills you can apply immediately. There is no external credential, because the BPM discipline has no single governing body or certification exam.

How is my learning assessed during the course?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, you apply the techniques as you learn them through BPMN modelling exercises, process-analysis activities, and redesign workshops based on realistic scenarios.

Will BPM training give me a formal credential?

No formal credential is awarded, as there is no accrediting body for the BPM discipline itself. You gain practical, workplace-ready skills plus a course completion record that recognises your participation.

What will I be able to do after the training?

You will be able to model processes in BPMN 2.0, analyse them to find waste and bottlenecks, apply redesign principles, define process KPIs, and set up process ownership and governance. These skills are immediately useful in your organisation.

    Course Content

What will I learn in BPM training?

You will learn the full BPM lifecycle, BPMN 2.0 process modelling, process analysis and performance measurement, process design and redesign, governance, and how BPMS and RPA technology support automation and continuous improvement.

Does the course cover BPMN 2.0 modelling?

Yes. You work with the core BPMN 2.0 notation, including events, gateways, tasks, pools, and lanes, and you practise building both as-is and to-be swimlane models from verbal process descriptions.

How long is the BPM training?

The course runs for one day (eight hours), covering all six modules with concept explanations, modelling exercises, and analysis workshops. It can also be delivered as two half-days where that suits a team better.

Are there hands-on exercises in the course?

Yes. Hands-on work runs throughout the day, including modelling a process in BPMN from a description, analysing a process for waste, and redesigning it using simplification, standardisation, and error-proofing.

Is the course aligned to any framework or standard?

Yes. It is aligned to BPMN 2.0 (ISO/IEC 19510) and the ABPMP BPM Common Body of Knowledge, and it references the ISO 9001:2015 process approach and Lean and Six Sigma improvement tools used within the BPM lifecycle.
