What is the PgMP certification and who is it for?

Is the PgMP worth it for professionals in Egypt?

Yes. As Vision 2030, Digital Egypt and national megaprojects scale delivery, employers in telecom, banking, construction and consulting seek certified programme leaders. Senior programme and PMO roles command strong EGP salary bands, and fewer than 3,000 professionals worldwide hold the PgMP, so it sets you apart.

Is PMP required before PgMP?

No. PMP is not a mandatory prerequisite. However, an active PMP satisfies the project management experience requirement across all three eligibility sets, so PMP holders only need to document their programme management experience.

What is the PgMP panel review?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to the PgMP. A panel of programme management practitioners evaluates your documented experience and competency. It is a mandatory step in addition to the written exam, and both must be passed to earn the credential.

How long is the PgMP valid and how do I renew it?

The PgMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 PDUs across the PMI Talent Triangle within each three-year cycle, with a minimum of 8 PDUs in each area, reported through PMI's Continuing Certification Requirements system.

Is the PgMP recognised in Egypt?

Yes. As a PMI credential, the PgMP carries global recognition across more than 200 countries, including Egypt. It is valued by leading employers in ICT, banking, infrastructure and consulting as a benchmark for programme management excellence.

What is included in the PgMP course fee and how do I pay?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, an exam simulator, templates, application and panel-review support, learner support and a course completion certificate. How much does PgMP training cost in Egypt?

PgMP training fees in Egypt vary by format and plan and are available on request. Live virtual and classroom options are priced differently, and corporate group rates apply for teams. Talk to a learning advisor for current pricing.

How much is the PgMP exam fee?

PMI bills the exam fee separately from training, in USD under regional pricing. For reference, it is around USD 800 for PMI members and USD 1,000 for non-members; verify the current fee at pmi.org. PMI membership can reduce the exam cost.

What if I do not pass the PgMP exam the first time?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period, and re-examination fees apply to the second and third attempts. Our training includes mock exams, scenario practice and prep support to help you feel ready before you sit it.

How long is the PgMP exam and how many questions does it have?

The PgMP exam has 170 questions and a four-hour (240-minute) allotted time. It is closed book and uses multiple-choice question formats, delivered by Pearson VUE.

What are the PgMP exam domains and their weights?

There are five performance domains: Strategic Program Management (11%), Program Life Cycle Management (44%), Benefits Management (11%), Stakeholder Engagement (16%) and Governance (18%), per the PgMP Examination Content Outline.

What is the passing score for the PgMP exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback such as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

Where can I take the PgMP exam in Egypt?

You can take the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctored system, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or the Pearson VUE website within your one-year eligibility window.

Which standard is the PgMP exam based on?

The exam is based on the PgMP Examination Content Outline and PMI's Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition. Our courseware is aligned to the fourth edition and the current ECO.

Do I need prior experience to take this training?

Anyone can attend the training, and it suits experienced project and programme professionals best. To sit the exam, PMI requires substantial programme management experience across one of three eligibility sets, and our trainers guide you on documenting it.

The training covers the five PgMP performance domains: Strategic Program Management, Program Life Cycle Management, Benefits Management, Stakeholder Engagement and Governance, plus application guidance, panel-review preparation and exam strategy.

Yes. The courseware is aligned to PMI's Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition, and the current PgMP Examination Content Outline, so you prepare against the framework the exam actually tests.

Are practice tests, mock exams and assignments included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams, an exam simulator and topic-wise quizzes to help you identify weak areas and build readiness for the 170-question format.

Will I receive a certificate of completion after the training?

Yes. After meeting the course requirements you receive a course completion certificate along with the contact hours earned through the programme, which support your exam preparation.

What are the eligibility requirements to sit the PgMP exam?

PMI requires one of three sets: a secondary diploma with 48 months of project management experience (or an active PMP) plus 84 months of programme experience, or a four-year degree with 48 months plus 48 months, all within the past 15 years.
