    What is the format of the EXIN ASF exam?

    The exam is closed book with 40 single-answer multiple-choice questions, completed in 60 minutes. It can be taken online with EXIN proctoring or at an accredited testing location, usually arranged through your training provider.

    What is the passing score for the ASF exam?

    The pass mark is 65%, which means answering at least 26 of the 40 questions correctly. Focus on broad understanding across all five topic areas rather than a single subject.

    What topics does the ASF exam cover?

    The exam covers five topic areas from the EXIN examination specification: Agile Way of Thinking (20%), Scrum Practices (30%), Scrum Planning and Estimation (20%), Monitoring Scrum Projects (15%) and Advanced Scrum Concepts (15%).

    Where can I take the EXIN ASF exam?

    You can take it online through EXIN's proctored exam system, or at an EXIN accredited testing location. The exam is commonly arranged as part of a training and exam package through an accredited training provider.

    You learn the agile mindset, the Scrum framework of roles, events and artefacts, agile planning and estimation, delivery monitoring, and advanced Scrum concepts. The course maps directly to the five EXIN ASF exam topic areas.

    Do I need agile experience to take this course?

    No prior agile or Scrum knowledge is required. The course is built for complete beginners and starts from the fundamentals, so you can follow it confidently even if this is your first exposure to agile.

    What learning materials are provided?

    You receive EXIN-aligned courseware, industry case studies, practice questions, mock exams and revision aids. These resources reinforce each topic area and help you identify and close any gaps before the exam.

    How long is the ASF training programme?

    The instructor-led programme runs for 16 hours, typically delivered over two full days, or across four half-days depending on the schedule. This gives enough time to cover all five topic areas and prepare for the exam.

    Which standard is the courseware aligned to?

    The courseware is aligned to the EXIN Agile Scrum Foundation Examination Specification, the current Scrum Guide by Schwaber and Sutherland, and the Agile Manifesto with its four values and twelve principles.
