    Exam

What is the format of the CSM exam?

The CSM exam is an open-book, online, multiple-choice test taken through the Scrum Alliance member portal after you complete an approved course. No proctor is required, and it is based on the Scrum Alliance CSM Learning Objectives and the 2020 Scrum Guide.

How many questions are on the CSM exam and how long is it?

What if I do not pass the CSM exam the first time?

You have up to three attempts to pass within 90 days of completing your course, and the exam is open book. Our training and practice guidance are designed to help you pass on your first attempt, so the extra attempts are a safety net rather than the plan.

Can a beginner take the CSM course?

How long is the CSM training and how is it delivered?

The CSM course is a 16-hour programme delivered live virtual or onsite by a Certified Scrum Trainer, which meets the Scrum Alliance minimum contact-hours requirement. It can run as two full days or four half-days depending on the schedule.

    What learning materials are provided?

You receive Scrum Alliance aligned courseware, industry case studies on facilitation, coaching and impediment removal, and exam guidance. Learners also get support to prepare for the Scrum Alliance online assessment.

Is the courseware aligned with the latest Scrum standard?
