    Is CAPM worth it for starting a project career in Chile?

    Yes. CAPM is a recognised PMI credential that opens entry roles such as project coordinator, project analyst and PMO analyst. With Chile's large mining, energy and technology pipelines and a shortage of certified talent, it is a valuable first step. Talk to a learning advisor to plan your path.

    Do I need work experience to take CAPM?

    No. CAPM is the only PMI practitioner credential that needs no project work experience. You need a secondary qualification, such as a high school diploma or global equivalent, plus 23 hours of project management education, which this training provides.

    Is CAPM recognised by employers in Chile?

    Yes. As a PMI credential, CAPM carries global recognition across more than 200 countries and is valued by Chilean employers in mining, energy, construction, banking, retail and technology that run structured project portfolios.

    How long is the CAPM certification valid?

    CAPM is valid for three years from the date you certify. Unlike the PMP, you renew it by retaking and passing the CAPM exam within the three-year cycle rather than by earning PDUs.

    What is included in the CAPM training fee?

    The fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, 24 hours of instruction, practice questions, mock exams, downloadable templates, learner support and a course completion certificate. The PMI exam fee is billed separately. Request a quote for current pricing in Chile.

    How much does the CAPM exam cost?

    PMI bills the exam separately in USD under regional pricing, approximately USD 225 for PMI members and USD 300 for non-members. Figures vary, so confirm the current fee at pmi.org. Membership can lower the exam cost and gives access to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition.

    Do you offer group or corporate pricing in Chile?

    What is the format of the CAPM exam?

    The CAPM exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the CAPM Examination Content Outline effective 2023 and the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition. It is delivered via Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

    How many questions are on the CAPM exam?

    The exam has 150 questions and you have 3 hours (180 minutes) to complete it. Questions use single-answer and multiple-answer multiple-choice formats.

    What does the CAPM exam cover?

    The exam covers four domains from the 2023 outline: Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts, Predictive Plan-Based Methodologies, Agile Frameworks and Methodologies, and Business Analysis Frameworks, spanning predictive, agile and hybrid ways of working.

    Is there a fixed passing score for CAPM?

    No. PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score rather than a fixed percentage. Results are reported as pass or fail with feedback across the four CAPM domains, so aim for broad mastery of all four rather than a single number.

    What happens if I do not pass the first time?

    You get up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Our mock exams, practice questions and trainer guidance are designed to build your readiness so you can pass with confidence.

    Where can I take the CAPM exam in Chile?

    The course is aligned to the current CAPM Examination Content Outline, effective 2023, and the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition, together with the Agile Practice Guide, covering predictive, agile and hybrid approaches.

    Are practice tests and mock exams included?

    Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full-length mock exams mapped to the 150-question, 3-hour CAPM format, so you can identify weak areas and build exam readiness before the real thing.

    Does the training meet the 23-hour education requirement?

    Yes. The programme delivers 24 hours of instruction, which exceeds the 23 hours of project management education PMI requires, fully satisfying the CAPM education prerequisite.
