Industry Forces Driving PgMP Demand in the Bahamas

    Billion-Dollar Tourism Megaprojects

PgMP builds programme governance and coordination skills

    Financial Services Modernisation

Nassau's banks and fintech firms face regulatory change and digital transformation, funding programmes of related projects that need strategy alignment and clear benefits realisation.

PgMP builds strategic alignment and benefits skills

    Energy Transition Complexity

The shift from diesel to LNG, plus solar and grid upgrades, demands programme-grade risk aggregation and cross-project coordination that few professionals are credentialed to lead.

    Public Sector Delivery Pressure

Rising government spending on roads, healthcare and infrastructure needs portfolio-level governance and benefits tracking so public investment delivers measurable outcomes.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

The PgMP (Program Management Professional) is PMI's senior credential for professionals who manage multiple related projects as a coordinated programme to deliver strategic benefits. It is designed for senior programme managers, PMO heads, directors of delivery and experienced practitioners.

    General

What is the PgMP certification and who is it for?

The PgMP (Program Management Professional) is PMI's senior credential for professionals who manage multiple related projects as a coordinated programme to deliver strategic benefits. It is designed for senior programme managers, PMO heads, directors of delivery and experienced practitioners.

Is the PgMP worth it for programme managers in Nassau?

Yes. As Nassau's tourism megaprojects, financial-services modernisation and infrastructure programmes scale up, employers increasingly want certified programme leaders. Senior programme and director roles command strong salary bands, and fewer than 3,000 practitioners worldwide hold the PgMP, making it a clear differentiator.

Is the PgMP recognised in the Bahamas?

Yes. The PgMP is a globally recognised PMI credential valued by employers across the Bahamas and worldwide, including resorts, banks, construction firms, utilities and government bodies that run large portfolios of related projects.

Do I need a PMP before the PgMP?

No. The PMP is not a mandatory prerequisite. However, an active PMP satisfies the project management experience requirement across all three eligibility sets, so PMP holders only need to document their programme management experience.

How long is the PgMP valid and how do I renew it?

The PgMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 PDUs across the PMI Talent Triangle, with at least 8 PDUs in each of Ways of Working, Power Skills and Business Acumen, within each three-year cycle.

    Pricing

How much does PgMP training cost in Nassau?

PgMP training fees vary by format and cohort, so a tailored quote gives the clearest picture. The training fee is separate from PMI's exam fee, which is billed in USD. Request a quote or speak with a learning advisor for current pricing.

What is included in the PgMP course fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, exam-simulator access, downloadable templates, application and panel-review support, learner support, and a course completion certificate with contact hours.

How much is the PgMP exam fee?

PMI bills the exam fee separately in USD, roughly USD 800 for members and USD 1,000 for non-members for reference; confirm current fees at pmi.org. As the Bahamian dollar is pegged one-to-one with the US dollar, these amounts are easy to plan for.

Do you offer corporate or group pricing?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for PMOs, business units and leadership teams across Nassau. Contact us for a tailored quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the PgMP exam?

The PgMP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination of 170 questions with a four-hour allotted time. It is based on the PgMP Examination Content Outline and the Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition, and is delivered online proctored or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

What are the PgMP exam domains and their weights?

The exam covers five performance domains: Strategic Program Management (11%), Program Life Cycle Management (44%), Benefits Management (11%), Stakeholder Engagement (16%) and Governance (18%).

What is the PgMP panel review?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to the PgMP. A panel of programme management practitioners evaluates your documented experience and competency. It is a mandatory step alongside the written exam, and both must be passed to earn the credential.

What is the passing score for the PgMP exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback, so focus on broad mastery across all five domains rather than a target percentage.

What happens if I do not pass the exam?

You are allowed up to three attempts within the one-year eligibility window from application approval. Re-examination fees apply to the second and third attempts; confirm the current amounts on the PMI store.

    Course Content

What topics are covered in the PgMP training?

The training covers the five performance domains: Strategic Program Management, Program Life Cycle Management, Benefits Management, Stakeholder Engagement and Governance, plus application guidance and exam strategy aligned to the current ECO.

What learning resources and materials are provided?

You receive PMI-aligned courseware, references to the PgMP Examination Content Outline and Handbook, an overview of the Standard for Program Management (Fourth Edition), templates, flashcards and topic-wise quizzes.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams, an exam simulator and topic-wise quizzes to help you identify weak areas and build exam readiness for the 170-question format.

Is the courseware aligned with the latest PgMP standard?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to PMI's current PgMP Examination Content Outline and the fourth edition of the Standard for Program Management, which underpins the exam.

Will I receive a certificate of completion after the training?

Yes. After meeting the course requirements you receive a course completion certificate along with the contact hours earned through the programme, which also count toward your professional development.

    Enrollment

What are the eligibility requirements for the PgMP?

Anyone can enrol in the training. To sit the exam, PMI requires one of three sets: with a secondary diploma, 48 months of project management experience or a PMP plus 84 months of programme experience; with a four-year degree, 48 months plus 48 months; or with a GAC-accredited degree, 36 months plus 36 months, all within the past 15 years.

How do I enrol in the PgMP course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Talk to a learning advisor if you need help choosing a batch.

What training formats are available in Nassau?

We offer live virtual (online) instructor-led training, classroom training, and customised corporate group training, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule and learning preference.

Can I reschedule or transfer to another batch?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch, and selected plans include a Flexi Pass to attend the training twice. Contact support to arrange this.

What is the refund or cancellation policy?

Refunds and cancellations are handled per our published policy, and selected plans include a money-back guarantee. Reach out to our team for the details that apply to your enrolment.
