Do I need a Yellow Belt before the Green Belt?

What is the format of the Green Belt exam?

The ICGB exam is closed book, with 100 multiple-choice and true or false questions, plus up to 10 unscored questions on some forms. It is delivered online with proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The exam has 100 questions and an allotted time of three hours. Questions are spread roughly evenly across the five DMAIC phases, with about 20 per phase.

What is the passing score?

You must achieve a minimum of 385 points out of 550. Questions span Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control, so broad mastery across all phases matters most.

Are there any eligibility requirements to sit the exam?

No. IASSC requires no education, work experience or formal training to sit the Green Belt exam, although training and real-world practice are strongly recommended for success.

What is the exam application process?
