    For Organizations

    For Organizations

Group PMI-RMP training helps organisations build risk management capability by equipping delivery teams with a shared method and practical technique. The training can be delivered for project teams, PMOs or risk functions. For organisations running high-consequence energy, construction or financial projects, a common risk approach reduces surprises and protects value.

If your teams identify and respond to risk inconsistently, group training creates a standardised approach to strategy, analysis, response and monitoring. Senior teams gain a common language for risk appetite, thresholds and reporting.

    • Embeds a consistent project risk language across delivery teams
    • Reduces cost and schedule overruns on capital and transformation programmes
    • Builds Basel and AML aligned risk discipline for banking and takaful teams
    • Strengthens governance on Wawasan 2035 downstream and infrastructure projects
    • Enables tailored on-site or live virtual delivery for teams across Brunei
    • Standardises risk registers, responses and reporting across business units
    • Develops in-house risk leadership and succession

Skills covered in the PMI-RMP start here: analyse project documents, assess the environment for threats and opportunities, confirm risk thresholds, and tailor a risk management plan to predictive, agile or hybrid delivery.

    Identify Threats and Opportunities

Facilitate structured identification using brainstorming, the Delphi technique, SWOT and assumption analysis, then document clear cause-risk-effect entries in a complete, validated risk register.

    Analyse Risk Qualitatively and Quantitatively

Prioritise risks with a probability-impact matrix and apply quantitative techniques such as Monte Carlo simulation, decision-tree analysis, sensitivity analysis and expected monetary value to model their effect on objectives.

    Plan and Implement Risk Responses

Develop response strategies for threats and opportunities, assign owners and triggers, build contingency and fallback plans, and integrate reserves into the schedule and budget.

    Monitor, Report and Close Risks

Track residual and secondary risks, run periodic risk reviews, report changes in the risk profile to stakeholders, and formally close risks with lessons captured for future projects.

Apply Risk Tools Across Agile and Hybrid Work

Use risk breakdown structures, tornado diagrams, heat maps and S-curves, and adapt the approach across predictive, agile and hybrid environments as reflected in the current ECO.

It recognises expertise in assessing risks, mitigating threats and capitalising on opportunities. It suits project risk managers, senior project managers, PMO analysts and engineers who specialise in risk on projects and programmes.

Yes. Brunei's energy megaprojects, Wawasan 2035 diversification and tighter financial regulation are raising demand for certified risk specialists, who remain scarce against a deep pool of project managers. The credential differentiates you for senior risk roles across oil, gas, banking and construction.

Yes. As a PMI credential, the PMI-RMP is recognised by employers worldwide, including in Brunei. It is especially valued in high-risk sectors such as oil and gas, construction and financial services, where formal project risk management is often contractually or regulatorily required.

No. A PMP is not a prerequisite for the PMI-RMP. You can apply directly based on your risk management experience and education. Many holders do carry both, as the two credentials are complementary, but the PMI-RMP stands on its own as a specialist risk qualification.

The PMI-RMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 30 PDUs in risk management topics within each three-year cycle and report them through PMI's Continuing Certification Requirements system, then pay the renewal fee.

    Pricing

What is included in the PMI-RMP training fee?

How much does PMI-RMP training cost in Brunei?

Is the PMI exam fee included in the course price?

No. PMI bills the exam separately in USD under regional pricing, around USD 520 for members and USD 670 for non-members as a reference; confirm current fees at pmi.org. PMI membership can lower the exam fee and give access to the Practice Standard for Project Risk Management.

    Exam

What is the format of the PMI-RMP exam?

The PMI-RMP exam has 115 questions to be completed in 2.5 hours (150 minutes). It is closed book and uses multiple-choice formats, including single-answer and multiple-answer questions, based on the PMI-RMP ECO effective January 2022.

What are the PMI-RMP exam domains and their weights?

The exam covers five domains from the January 2022 ECO: Risk Strategy and Planning (20%), Risk Identification (20%), Risk Analysis (23%), Risk Response (22%) and Monitor and Close Risks (15%).

What is the passing score for the PMI-RMP exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail, with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

How many attempts do I get if I do not pass?

You are allowed up to three attempts within the one-year eligibility window that starts when PMI approves your application. Re-examination fees apply to the second and third attempts; confirm current amounts at pmi.org.

Where can I take the PMI-RMP exam in Brunei?

You can take the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring from home or office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or the Pearson VUE website once your application is approved.

    Course Content

What will I learn in the PMI-RMP course?

You will learn to plan, identify, analyse, respond to, monitor and close project risk across all five ECO domains. This includes qualitative and quantitative techniques such as the probability-impact matrix, Monte Carlo simulation, decision-tree analysis and expected monetary value.

Does the training cover agile and hybrid risk management?

Yes. In line with the January 2022 ECO, the training covers risk management across predictive, agile and hybrid delivery, so you can apply the tools whatever approach your projects use.

Which standard is the course aligned to?

The course is aligned to the current PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline effective January 2022, the PMI Practice Standard for Project Risk Management and the PMBOK Guide, ensuring the content matches what the exam tests.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes domain-wise practice questions, full-length mock exams and exam-simulator access mapped to the 115-question format, helping you find weak areas and build readiness before exam day.

Do I need prior experience to attend the training?

Anyone can attend the training to build risk skills and earn the 32 contact hours. Sitting the exam, however, requires the PMI experience and education prerequisites, which our advisors can help you assess before you apply.
