What Is the EXIN BCS Business Analysis Certification?UntitledYour Route into Business Analysis

The Business Analysis Foundation and Practitioner certification is a combined EXIN BCS qualification that validates both the knowledge and the applied skill of a professional business analyst, offered as instructor-led certification training in Brunei. Industry Challenges Driving Business Analysis Demand in Brunei

    Unclear Requirements Stall Projects

Many Brunei transformation projects overrun because business needs are captured poorly. Trained analysts who elicit and document clear requirements are exactly what employers need to fix this.

BA training builds requirements and documentation skills

    Digital Economy Skills Gap

The Digital Economy Masterplan is accelerating public and private modernisation, but Brunei has few certified analysts to connect business and IT, leaving a widening capability gap.

BA training bridges business and IT

    Banking and Regulatory Change Pressure

Brunei's banks and Islamic finance firms face constant compliance and product change, and need analysts who can model processes and build sound business cases.

BA training builds modelling and business-case skills

    Diversification Beyond Oil and Gas

Wawasan 2035 demands new non-oil services and systems. Analysts who align solutions to strategy help organisations turn diversification goals into delivered outcomes.

Weak Link Between Strategy and Delivery

Leaders approve initiatives that lose value in delivery. Analysts trained in strategy analysis and prioritisation close the gap between intent and results.

    Scarcity of Certified BA Talent

Brunei's small talent pool is thin in formally qualified analysts. A BCS-quality-assured credential makes certified professionals stand out to local and regional employers.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

It is a combined EXIN BCS qualification developed with BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. It validates both knowledge of business analysis concepts and the ability to apply BA techniques in real project scenarios, and is aligned to the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge.

    General

What is the Business Analysis Foundation and Practitioner certification?

It is a combined EXIN BCS qualification developed with BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. It validates both knowledge of business analysis concepts and the ability to apply BA techniques in real project scenarios, and is aligned to the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge.

Is business analysis certification worth it in Brunei?

Yes. As Brunei diversifies under Wawasan 2035, banks, energy firms and government agencies increasingly hire analysts who can turn business needs into clear requirements. A recognised credential helps you qualify for these roles and negotiate stronger pay. Talk to a learning advisor to plan your path.

Who should take this business analysis course?

It suits aspiring analysts, IT and project professionals moving into BA roles, and practising analysts who want a formal qualification. There are no prerequisites for the Foundation level, so beginners in Brunei can start with confidence.

Why choose Invensis Learning for BA training in Brunei?

Invensis Learning is an EXIN Accredited Training Provider offering BCS-aligned courseware, EXIN-accredited trainers, flexible delivery and dual-exam support, helping you move from learning to two certifications with a clear path.

How long are the certifications valid?

Both the EXIN BCS Foundation and Practitioner certifications are valid for life. Neither expires and there is no renewal, re-examination or continuing-education requirement.

    Is the certification recognised internationally?

Yes. EXIN operates in over 165 countries and BCS is the UK's chartered institute for IT. The credentials are especially well recognised across the UK, Commonwealth, Europe and Asia, including Brunei.

    Pricing

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes BCS-aligned courseware, industry case studies, mock exams for both levels, and learner support. Exam voucher inclusion varies, so confirm at enrolment. Request a quote for current pricing in Brunei.

How much does the training cost in Brunei?

Pricing varies by format and schedule, so the fee is available on request for learners in Brunei. Live virtual, classroom and corporate options are quoted separately. Contact us for a tailored quote in local currency.

Are the EXIN exam fees included?

EXIN exam voucher pricing varies by region and channel, and inclusion depends on your selected package. Confirm whether the Foundation and Practitioner vouchers are bundled when you enrol.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for teams in Brunei. Contact us for a group quote for your organisation.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What if I do not pass an exam on the first attempt?

You can re-sit the EXIN exams; the re-sit policy and any fees are confirmed by EXIN. Our training includes mock questions for both levels so you are well prepared before you sit each exam.

How many exams are in the combined programme?

There are two separate exams: the Foundation exam and the Practitioner exam. You must sit and pass both to hold both credentials.

What is the format of the exams?

Each exam has 40 closed-book multiple-choice questions. Foundation uses single-answer questions to test knowledge; Practitioner uses scenario-based questions that test applied judgement across realistic project situations.

How long is each exam and what is the pass mark?

Each exam lasts 60 minutes and requires 65% to pass, which is 26 correct answers out of 40. The pass mark is the same for both the Foundation and Practitioner levels.

Where can I take the EXIN exams in Brunei?

You can sit the exams online through EXIN's proctored exam system or at an accredited testing location, usually arranged through your accredited training provider as part of the programme.

What standard are the exams based on?

Both exams are set against the EXIN BCS Foundation and Practitioner Examination Specifications and aligned to the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge.

    Course Content

Do I need prior experience to take this course?

No. The Foundation level has no prerequisites and is open to all, so beginners in Brunei can start here. Foundation knowledge is the recommended basis for the Practitioner level, which the combined programme covers in sequence.

What topics does the training cover?

The Foundation level covers 14 topic areas from strategy analysis to requirements and modelling. The Practitioner level covers 7 applied topic areas assessed through scenarios, including stakeholder analysis, solution options and business cases.

    How long is the training?

The combined programme runs for 32 hours, typically delivered over four days, covering Foundation content first and Practitioner content second.

    What learning materials are provided?

You receive BCS-aligned courseware, industry-driven case studies, and mock exams for both the Foundation and Practitioner levels to build exam readiness.

Will I learn practical business analysis techniques?

Yes. You practise investigation, requirements elicitation, MoSCoW prioritisation, BPMN and use-case modelling, stakeholder analysis and business-case development on realistic scenarios.

Is the courseware aligned to the current syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the official EXIN BCS Foundation and Practitioner Examination Specifications and the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge.

    Enrollment

How soon can I start and how do I enrol?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website, choose live virtual, classroom or corporate training, and get access to schedules and courseware. See upcoming batches or talk to an advisor to begin.

    What training formats are available?

We offer live virtual (online) instructor-led training, classroom training, self-paced options and customised corporate group training, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule in Brunei.

    Can beginners in Brunei enrol?

Yes. Anyone can enrol, and the Foundation level requires no prior experience or qualifications, making it ideal for career starters and career changers.

Can I reschedule or transfer my enrolment?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or move to another batch. Contact our support team to arrange this.

What is the refund or cancellation policy?

Refunds and cancellations follow our published policy, and selected plans include a money-back option. Reach out to our team for the details that apply to your enrolment.
