Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

The PMP is the Project Management Institute's flagship credential and the global gold standard for project managers, validating your ability to lead projects using predictive, agile and hybrid approaches. It suits practising project managers, team leads and delivery professionals ready to formalise their experience.

    General

What is the PMP certification and who is it for?

The PMP is the Project Management Institute's flagship credential and the global gold standard for project managers, validating your ability to lead projects using predictive, agile and hybrid approaches. It suits practising project managers, team leads and delivery professionals ready to formalise their experience.

Is the PMP worth it for project managers in Bulgaria?

Yes. The PMP is in strong demand across Bulgaria's IT services, outsourcing and shared-services sector, where global firms run standards-driven portfolios. Senior project managers in Bulgaria earn around 42,000 EUR a year, and the credential is recognised in more than 200 countries.

Which standard and edition is the PMP based on in 2026?

The PMP is based on PMI's current standard, the PMBOK Guide Eighth Edition, and the updated PMP Examination Content Outline. Around half the exam reflects agile or hybrid ways of working, alongside predictive delivery.

What are the eligibility requirements for the PMP?

There are two paths. With a four-year degree you need 36 months of leading projects plus 35 contact hours of project management education. With a secondary diploma you need 60 months of leading projects plus the same 35 contact hours, which this training provides.

How long is the PMP valid and how do I renew it?

The PMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 professional development units (PDUs) across the PMI Talent Triangle within each three-year cycle and pay the renewal fee through PMI.

    Pricing

How much does PMP training cost in Bulgaria?

PMP training fees in Bulgaria vary by format and cohort size and are available on request. The fee covers PMI-aligned courseware, practice materials and trainer-led sessions. Contact a learning advisor for a quote tailored to individual or group enrolment.

What is included in the PMP course fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, 35 contact hours, practice questions, mock exams, application guidance, learner support and a course completion certificate. The PMI exam fee is billed separately by PMI.

How much is the PMP exam fee?

PMI charges the exam fee directly, for reference around USD 405 for members and USD 555 for non-members, though prices vary by region. Verify the current fee at pmi.org, as PMI membership can reduce the exam cost.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with tailored schedules and volume-based pricing for teams, PMOs and departments across Bulgaria. Contact us for a group quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the PMP exam?

The PMP is a closed-book exam using multiple-choice, multiple-response, matching, hotspot and limited fill-in-the-blank questions. It is delivered online with Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

How many questions are on the PMP exam and how long is it?

The exam has 180 questions and lasts 230 minutes, which is 3 hours 50 minutes, including two scheduled 10-minute breaks.

What are the PMP exam domains and their weights?

The updated exam, aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition, spans five areas: Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts (15%), Predictive, Plan-Based Methodologies (28%), Agile Frameworks (27%), Business Analysis and Strategic Management (18%) and Stakeholder Engagement and Communication (12%).

What is the passing score for the PMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed percentage pass mark. Your result is set by a psychometrically determined passing score and reported as pass or fail, with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement.

Where can I sit the PMP exam in Bulgaria?

You can take the PMP at a Pearson VUE test centre or from home or office via Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctoring. You schedule it through PMI or Pearson VUE within your one-year eligibility period.

What happens if I do not pass the first time?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Reexamination fees apply to the second and third attempts, and our trainers support your revision so you can go back stronger.

    Course Content

What topics does the PMP training cover?

The training covers the five PMP exam areas: project management fundamentals, predictive plan-based delivery, agile frameworks, business analysis and strategic management, and stakeholder engagement and communication, plus exam strategy and application guidance.

Does the course cover agile as well as predictive delivery?

Yes. Around half the PMP exam reflects agile or hybrid approaches, so the course covers Scrum, Kanban and Lean alongside predictive tools such as the WBS, critical path method and earned value management.

    What learning resources are provided?

You receive PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, chapter-wise quizzes and templates, along with references to the current PMP Examination Content Outline to guide your preparation.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full-length mock exams that mirror the 180-question format, helping you identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

Is the courseware aligned with the latest PMP exam?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition and the updated PMP Examination Content Outline, so you prepare against the current exam, not an older version.

    Enrollment

What are the eligibility requirements to enrol in PMP training?

Anyone can enrol in the training. To sit the PMP exam, PMI requires either a four-year degree with 36 months of leading projects, or a secondary diploma with 60 months, plus 35 contact hours of project management education that the training provides.

How do I enrol in the PMP course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Talk to a learning advisor if you need help choosing a batch.

    What training formats are available?

We offer live virtual instructor-led training for individuals and customised corporate group training for teams, delivered live online, onsite or in a hybrid format across Bulgaria.

How soon can I start the PMP training?

New live online batches run regularly, so you can usually start within days. See upcoming schedules on our website or ask a learning advisor about the next available cohort.

Can I reschedule or transfer to another batch?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or move to another batch, and selected plans let you attend the training twice. Contact support to arrange this.
