    For Individuals

    For Individuals

The programme suits site managers, project engineers, project managers and commercial managers who want to prove construction competence to Bulgarian and international employers. Whether you are formalising your project management authority, moving up from site engineering, or specialising a broader PMP, this training builds capability aligned to the four PMI-CP domains and real construction practice.

PMI-CP group training helps construction organisations build consistent project delivery capability by equipping teams with structured contract, stakeholder and governance skills. Construction Challenges Fuelling PMI-CP Demand in Bulgaria

    Skilled Talent Shortage

Construction is among Bulgaria's hardest-hit sectors for labour, with a national deficit above 262,000 workers and heavy emigration. Project leaders who can run lean, well-governed builds are scarce and sought-after.

PMI-CP makes certified project leaders stand out

    Complex EU-Funded Programmes

Transport, water and energy projects under EU programmes demand rigorous contract administration and audit-ready reporting, the exact strengths the PMI-CP framework is built to develop.

PMI-CP builds contract and reporting discipline

    Contract and Claims Risk

Fixed-price and design-build contracts expose Bulgarian firms to costly disputes. With Contracts Management weighted at 50% of the exam, PMI-CP targets the skills needed to control variations and risk.

PMI-CP builds contract and claims capability

    Renewable Energy Build-Out

With over 5 GW of solar online and more capacity planned, energy construction is expanding fast. Delivering these projects on time relies on structured scope and stakeholder management.

PMI-CP builds scope and stakeholder skills

    Data-Centre and Industrial Growth

New data-centre and industrial sites near Sofia and Burgas raise the bar on interface coordination and project governance, where certified construction professionals add clear value.

PMI-CP builds interface and governance skills

    Reliance on Private Capital

As budget-backed funding cools in 2026, projects depend more on private and foreign investors who expect globally recognised project management standards on every build.

    Your Bulgaria Career Transformation

Your Construction Career Before and After PMI-CP

Eligible for contract, project and programme roles across transport, energy and building

    Today

Strong on site delivery, but without proof of contract and governance skill

    After PMI-CP

Certified in the four PMI-CP domains that employers and EU-funded clients expect

    You earn your PMI-CP

    Before

Recognition tied to years on site, not a portable qualification

    Now you have

    Before

Contract and claims work picked up informally on the job

    Now you have

Structured mastery of contracts, variations, claims and dispute management

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

PMI-CP is PMI's specialist credential for the construction industry. It validates your ability to apply project management skills across four domains: Contracts Management (50%), Stakeholder Engagement (30%), Strategy and Scope Management (15%) and Project Governance (5%). Uniquely, it requires completing four mandatory self-paced modules before you apply.

    General

What is the PMI Construction Professional (PMI-CP) certification?

PMI-CP is PMI's specialist credential for the construction industry. It validates your ability to apply project management skills across four domains: Contracts Management (50%), Stakeholder Engagement (30%), Strategy and Scope Management (15%) and Project Governance (5%). Uniquely, it requires completing four mandatory self-paced modules before you apply.

Who should take PMI-CP training in Bulgaria?

PMI-CP suits construction project managers, site and project engineers, commercial and contract managers, owner's representatives and PMP holders working in construction. It is ideal for professionals delivering transport, energy, building or infrastructure projects who want a recognised, construction-specific qualification.

Is PMI-CP worth it for construction professionals in Bulgaria?

Yes. Bulgaria is delivering major EU-funded transport, energy and building projects while facing a construction skills shortage, so certified project leaders are in demand. PMI-CP proves construction-specific competence and supports roles from project manager to programme manager, which command strong pay locally.

Do I need a PMP before taking PMI-CP?

No. PMP is not a prerequisite for PMI-CP. You can apply based on your construction project management experience and education. The two are complementary: PMP validates broad project management, while PMI-CP validates construction-specific expertise, and many professionals hold both.

How long is the PMI-CP certification valid?

PMI-CP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 PDUs across the PMI Talent Triangle within each three-year cycle, with at least 8 PDUs in each area. The 56 PDUs from the four prerequisite modules can count toward renewal.

    Pricing

What is included in the PMI-CP course fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, guidance on the four prerequisite modules and the PMI application, learner support and a course completion certificate with contact hours. Request a quote for the current inclusions and batch pricing.

How much does the PMI-CP exam cost?

PMI bills the exam separately and prices vary by region. For reference, the fee is around USD 520 for PMI members and USD 670 for non-members. PMI membership, roughly USD 139 per year, can reduce the exam cost. Confirm current fees on pmi.org before applying.

Is the exam fee included in the training price?

No. The PMI-CP exam fee is paid to PMI separately and is not part of the training fee. Your training covers preparation, courseware and support to help you pass. Talk to a learning advisor for a clear breakdown of training and exam costs.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts for PMI-CP training?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for construction teams, PMOs and commercial functions. Contact us for a tailored group quote for your organisation.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

How many questions are on the PMI-CP exam and how long is it?

The PMI-CP exam has 120 questions and you get 230 minutes, which is 3 hours 50 minutes. It is closed book with multiple-choice questions in single-answer and multiple-answer formats.

What are the PMI-CP exam domains and their weights?

There are four domains per the PMI-CP Examination Content Outline: Contracts Management (50%), Stakeholder Engagement (30%), Strategy and Scope Management (15%) and Project Governance (5%). Contracts Management is by far the largest, reflecting how central contracts are to construction.

What is the passing score for the PMI-CP exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score, so there is no published fixed percentage. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement. Aim for broad mastery across all four domains.

Where can I take the PMI-CP exam in Bulgaria?

You can sit the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctored system from home or office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through Pearson VUE or the PMI portal within your one-year eligibility period.

What happens if I do not pass the first time?

You are allowed up to three attempts within the one-year eligibility window from application approval. Re-examination fees apply to later attempts. Our mock exams and trainer support are designed to help you pass with confidence.

    Course Content

What does the PMI-CP training cover?

The training covers all four exam domains: Contracts Management, Stakeholder Engagement, Strategy and Scope Management, and Project Governance. You learn contract administration, variations and claims, stakeholder engagement, scope and schedule control, risk, quality and project governance, plus exam strategy.

What are the four mandatory prerequisite modules for PMI-CP?

Before applying, you must complete four self-paced modules in any order: Project Communications, Interface Management, Scope and Change Order Management, and Contract and Risk Management. Each is a 6 to 10 hour commitment and awards 14 PDUs, giving 56 PDUs in total.

Which standard is the PMI-CP training based on?

The training is aligned to the PMI-CP Examination Content Outline and the current edition of the PMBOK Guide, along with construction industry standards and practices. This keeps your preparation grounded in the current exam and PMI's foundational guidance.

Does this training meet the 35 contact-hour requirement?

The instructor-led programme provides 32 contact hours, which is close to but below the 35 contact hours of project management education PMI requires across all eligibility sets. Check with our team whether supplementary self-study or pre-reading is credited toward the 35-hour requirement.

Are practice questions and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full-length mock exams mapped to the 120-question, closed-book PMI-CP format, plus topic-wise quizzes so you can identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

    Enrollment

What are the eligibility requirements for PMI-CP?

You must complete all four prerequisite modules, plus meet one of three sets: a secondary diploma with 60 months of construction PM experience, a bachelor's degree with 36 months, or a GAC-accredited degree with 24 months. All experience must be within the past 10 years, with 35 contact hours of PM education.

How do I enrol in the PMI-CP course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Talk to a learning advisor if you would like help choosing a batch.

What training formats are available in Bulgaria?

We offer online (live virtual) instructor-led training, classroom training, self-paced e-learning, and customised corporate group training, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule and learning style.

Can I reschedule or transfer my enrolment to another batch?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch, and selected plans let you attend the training twice. Contact support to arrange this.

What is the refund or cancellation policy?

Refunds and cancellations are handled per our published policy, and selected plans include a money-back guarantee. Reach out to our team for the details that apply to your enrolment.
