    The CSM exam is an online, open-book, multiple-choice test taken through the Scrum Alliance member portal after you complete the course. It covers the Scrum framework, values, team, events, artifacts and the Scrum Master role.

    How many questions are on the CSM exam and how long is it?

    The CSM exam has 50 multiple-choice questions and a time limit of 60 minutes. It is taken online without a proctor within 90 days of completing an approved CSM course.

    What is the passing score for the CSM exam?

    You need 74% to pass, which means answering at least 37 of the 50 questions correctly. The exam is open book, so you can refer to materials while you answer.

    How many attempts do I get for the CSM exam?

    Candidates typically have three attempts to pass within 90 days of completing the course. Verify the current attempt policy on the Scrum Alliance portal before you sit the exam.

    Do I have to attend a course to sit the CSM exam?

    Yes. Attendance at a Scrum Alliance approved CSM course delivered by a Certified Scrum Trainer is mandatory. The exam cannot be accessed until you complete the course.

    Which Scrum edition does the CSM exam follow?

    How long is the CSM training?
