    What is the format of the SIAM Foundation exam?

    The EXIN SIAM Foundation exam has 40 single-answer multiple-choice questions to be completed in 60 minutes. It is closed book and can be taken online with EXIN proctoring or at an accredited test location.

    What is the passing score for the exam?

    The pass mark is 65 percent, meaning you must answer at least 26 of the 40 questions correctly. The exam is designed to test knowledge and comprehension of SIAM at a foundational level.

    Which topics does the SIAM Foundation exam cover?

    The exam covers seven topic areas from the EXIN SIAM Foundation Examination Specification: an introduction to SIAM, the implementation roadmap, roles and responsibilities, SIAM practices, supporting processes, challenges and risks, and how SIAM relates to other practices such as ITIL and COBIT.

    Where and how do I book the exam?

    The exam is arranged through an EXIN accredited training provider, usually as part of a training and exam bundle, or directly via EXIN. You can sit it online with EXIN proctoring from home or office, or at an accredited test location.

    What if I do not pass the first time?

    You can re-sit the EXIN SIAM Foundation exam. Our training includes mock exams and prep support to help you pass first time, and we can guide you on re-sit arrangements if needed. Exact re-sit fees are confirmed with EXIN.

    The SIAM Foundation programme runs for 16 hours, typically delivered over two full days or across several shorter sessions. It covers all seven exam topic areas and prepares you to sit the EXIN exam.
