Market Forces Driving Risk Certification Demand in Turkey

    Reconstruction at Scale

With earthquake recovery needs estimated near USD 81.5 billion, Turkey is running housing, infrastructure and public-building programmes that demand rigorous, structured project risk management to protect budgets and timelines.

    PMI-RMP builds programme risk discipline

    Currency and Inflation Volatility

Exchange-rate swings and inflation make cost and schedule estimates fragile. Employers need risk professionals who can model uncertainty with reserves, contingency and quantitative techniques to keep capital projects viable.

    PMI-RMP builds quantitative risk skills

    Energy Transition Pressure

Large-scale renewables and grid-modernisation projects carry high technical and regulatory risk. Certified risk specialists are hired to identify threats early and turn uncertainty into managed opportunity.

PMI-RMP builds threat and opportunity response

    Global Contracting Footprint

Turkish contractors rank second worldwide for foreign projects, delivering across the Middle East, Africa and Central Asia. Cross-border programmes need consistent, PMI-aligned risk practice to manage contractual and country risk.

    PMI-RMP standardises risk across borders

    Banking and Regulatory Risk

Turkey's major banks sit at the centre of systemic risk and heavy regulation. Change and technology programmes in financial services increasingly want structured project risk governance and clear reporting.

    PMI-RMP strengthens governance and reporting

    Scarcity of Certified Risk Talent

Turkey has a deep pool of project managers but far fewer credentialed risk specialists. PMI-RMP's experience requirements and specialist focus make holders rare and highly sought after.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

The PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) is PMI's specialist credential in project risk management, recognising expertise in identifying, assessing, responding to and monitoring project risks. It is designed for project managers, risk analysts, PMO professionals and consultants who focus on risk across projects and programmes.

    General

What is the PMI-RMP certification and who is it for?

The PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) is PMI's specialist credential in project risk management, recognising expertise in identifying, assessing, responding to and monitoring project risks. It is designed for project managers, risk analysts, PMO professionals and consultants who focus on risk across projects and programmes.

Is the PMI-RMP worth it in Turkey?

Yes. With reconstruction, energy transition and a world-leading contracting sector all running at once, Turkish employers in construction, energy, banking and IT actively seek certified risk specialists. Senior risk roles in Turkey average around 2.45 million TRY a year, and PMI-RMP holders remain relatively scarce.

Is PMP required before taking the PMI-RMP?

No. PMP is not a prerequisite for PMI-RMP. You can apply directly based on your risk management experience and education, though many holders carry both credentials because they complement each other well.

    Is the PMI-RMP recognised internationally?

Yes. As a PMI credential, the PMI-RMP is recognised by employers globally, and it is especially valued in high-risk industries such as construction, energy, defence and financial services, where structured project risk management is often contractually required.

How long is the PMI-RMP certification valid?

The PMI-RMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 30 PDUs in risk management topics within each three-year continuing certification requirements (CCR) cycle.

    Pricing

How much does PMI-RMP training cost in Turkey?

Training fees vary by format and provider, so pricing for live online and corporate options is available on request. The PMI exam fee is billed separately in USD under regional pricing and is not part of the training fee. Request a quote for current batch pricing.

What is included in the PMI-RMP course fee?

The fee typically includes 32 contact hours of PMI-aligned instruction, courseware, practice questions mapped to the exam, application guidance and learner support, plus a course completion certificate. Talk to a learning advisor for the full inclusions on your chosen plan.

Is the exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the PMI-RMP exam fee separately in USD under regional pricing, and rates differ for members and non-members. PMI membership can reduce the exam fee and gives free access to the Practice Standard for Project Risk Management. Confirm current fees on pmi.org.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for PMOs and delivery teams across Turkey. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the PMI-RMP exam?

The PMI-RMP exam is closed book with multiple-choice questions in single-answer and multiple-answer formats, based on the PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline effective January 2022. It covers predictive, agile and hybrid risk management approaches.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The exam has 115 questions and a total allotted time of 2.5 hours (150 minutes). Questions are distributed across the five risk domains defined in the current Examination Content Outline.

What are the five PMI-RMP exam domains and weights?

Per the January 2022 ECO, the five domains are Risk Strategy and Planning (20%), Risk Identification (20%), Risk Analysis (23%), Risk Response (22%) and Monitor and Close Risks (15%).

What is the passing score and how many attempts do I get?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score rather than a fixed percentage, with results reported by domain as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement. You get up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period.

What are the eligibility requirements for the PMI-RMP?

There are three sets. Set A: a secondary diploma plus 36 months of project risk experience in the last 5 years and 40 hours of risk education. Set B: a bachelor's degree plus 24 months and 30 hours. Set C: a GAC-accredited degree plus 12 months and 30 hours. Experience must be specific to project risk.

    Course Content

What topics are covered in the PMI-RMP training?

The training covers all five risk domains: Risk Strategy and Planning, Risk Identification, Risk Analysis, Risk Response, and Monitor and Close Risks, plus tools such as SWOT, Monte Carlo simulation, decision trees, expected monetary value and reserve analysis, and guidance on the PMI application.

Does this training meet the PMI-RMP education requirement?

Yes. The programme provides 32 contact hours of risk management education, which fully satisfies the 30-hour requirement for Set B and Set C applicants. Set A candidates need 40 hours and should add at least 8 more hours of risk training.

Do I need prior experience to take the training?

You can attend the training with a project background, and it suits professionals building specialist risk skills. To sit the exam, however, PMI requires project risk experience and education under one of the three eligibility sets. We can help you check where you stand.

Is the courseware aligned with the latest PMI-RMP outline?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline effective January 2022, the PMI Practice Standard for Project Risk Management and the PMBOK Guide.

Are practice questions and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and mock assessments aligned to the 115-question format, so you can identify weak areas across the five domains and build exam readiness.

How do I enrol in the PMI-RMP course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Talk to a learning advisor if you would like help selecting a batch.

New live online and corporate batches run regularly. Check upcoming schedules or speak with a learning advisor to find the next start date that works for you.
