    What is the format of the Yellow Belt exam?

    The exam is closed book with multiple-choice and true or false questions. It is delivered online with proctoring on demand, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Questions are spread roughly evenly across the five DMAIC phases.

    How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 60 questions, with up to six additional unscored pretest questions on some forms. You have a two-hour allotted time to complete it. Preparation aligned to the Body of Knowledge is the best way to manage that time well.

    What is the passing score for the Yellow Belt exam?

    You need a minimum of 230 out of 300 points to pass. Because questions are distributed across all five DMAIC phases, the best approach is broad, even coverage of the full Body of Knowledge rather than focusing on one area.

    The course introduces 5S, value stream mapping, Kanban, Poka-Yoke and the seven wastes, alongside tools like SIPOC, fishbone diagrams and Pareto analysis. These are practical techniques you can apply directly in everyday process work.

    Yes. You receive structured courseware aligned to the Yellow Belt Body of Knowledge, practice questions and exam-prep resources designed to reinforce each DMAIC phase and prepare you for the closed-book exam format.
