Industry Challenges Driving Business Analyst Demand in Thailand

    Widening Digital Skills Gap

Certified analysts help close the gap

    Strategy to Delivery Disconnect

Boards fund Thailand 4.0 and S-Curve initiatives, but weak links between strategy and delivery cause scope creep and value leakage that skilled business analysts are hired to prevent.

Virtual bank licences and rapid fintech growth demand analysts who can capture complex, regulated requirements and model new customer journeys at speed.

    Legacy Modernisation Pressure

Banks, insurers and public agencies are replacing ageing systems, work that needs analysts able to model as-is processes and define a clear, achievable to-be state.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

They are two combined EXIN credentials developed in partnership with BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. The Foundation certificate validates core business analysis knowledge, while the Practitioner certificate validates the ability to apply BA tools and techniques in realistic project scenarios. Both align to the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge.

    General

What are the EXIN BCS Business Analysis Foundation and Practitioner certifications?

They are two combined EXIN credentials developed in partnership with BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. The Foundation certificate validates core business analysis knowledge, while the Practitioner certificate validates the ability to apply BA tools and techniques in realistic project scenarios. Both align to the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge.

Is this certification worth it for a career in Thailand?

Yes. Certified business analysts are in strong demand across Thailand's banks, fintechs, e-commerce firms and consultancies, with analyst roles averaging around 715,000 baht a year and senior bands above 1 million baht. As Thailand 4.0 accelerates digital change, a recognised BA credential helps you stand out.

Who should take the Business Analysis Foundation and Practitioner course?

It suits aspiring business analysts, IT professionals and testers moving into analysis, project managers adding requirements skills, and practising analysts who want to formalise their knowledge. The combined programme takes you from foundational concepts to applied practice in one route.

Are the EXIN BCS certifications recognised internationally?

Yes. EXIN operates in over 165 countries and BCS is the UK's chartered professional body for IT. The combined credential is recognised across the UK, Europe, Asia and the Middle East, which makes it a portable qualification for professionals based in Thailand.

How long are the certifications valid?

Both the Foundation and Practitioner certifications are for lifetime. Neither credential expires, and there is no renewal, re-examination or continuing education requirement once you have passed.

    Pricing

How much does the training cost in Thailand?

Fees vary by format and schedule, so pricing is available on request. The training fee typically covers EXIN-aligned courseware, mock exams and learner support. Contact a learning advisor for a current quote for public or corporate batches in Thailand.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee usually includes EXIN-aligned courseware, industry case studies, practice questions and mock exams for both levels, and dedicated learner support. Confirm whether the two EXIN exam vouchers are bundled when you request your quote.

Are the EXIN exam fees part of the training price?

Exam voucher inclusion varies by package and region. EXIN exam pricing depends on channel and currency. Ask your learning advisor to confirm whether the Foundation and Practitioner vouchers are included in your training fee.

Do you offer group or corporate pricing?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for IT, change and product teams. Request a tailored quote for your organisation in Thailand.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the two EXIN exams?

Both exams are closed book with 40 questions and a 60-minute duration. The Foundation exam uses single-answer multiple-choice questions, while the Practitioner exam uses scenario-based multiple-choice questions that test how you apply BA techniques.

What is the passing score for each exam?

The passing score is 65% for both exams, which is 26 correct answers out of 40. You must sit and pass both the Foundation and Practitioner exams to hold both credentials.

How does the Foundation exam differ from the Practitioner exam?

The Foundation exam tests knowledge and comprehension of business analysis concepts across 14 topic areas. The Practitioner exam tests application and analysis across seven topic areas using realistic project scenarios. Both are 40 questions in 60 minutes.

Do I need to pass Foundation before Practitioner?

The Foundation certificate is the recommended prerequisite for the Practitioner level, and the combined programme is designed to be taken in sequence. Foundation content is covered first, followed by the applied Practitioner material.

Where can I sit the EXIN exams?

You can take both exams online through EXIN's online proctored system or at an EXIN accredited testing location. Exams are typically arranged as part of the combined training and dual-exam package through your accredited provider.

What if I do not pass on the first attempt?

You can re-sit an EXIN exam by purchasing a new voucher, and our trainers provide targeted preparation and mock exams to build first-attempt readiness. Confirm the current re-sit policy and voucher validity at exin.com.

    Course Content

What topics does the course cover?

The Foundation level covers 14 topics including strategy analysis, investigation techniques, requirements engineering, business and process modelling, and business cases. The Practitioner level applies these across seven scenario-based topic areas, all aligned to the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge.

Do I need prior experience to join?

No. The Foundation level has no formal prerequisites and is open to all, so beginners can start here. Guided instruction, case studies and practice build the applied skills needed for the Practitioner level.

    What learning materials are provided?

You receive EXIN-aligned courseware, industry case studies, practice questions and mock exams for both levels, plus reference to the EXIN BCS Foundation and Practitioner Examination Specifications and the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge.

Is the courseware aligned with the current EXIN specifications?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current EXIN BCS Foundation and Practitioner Examination Specifications and the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge, so your preparation reflects what both exams assess.

Will I get a certificate after the training?

After completing the training you receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning. The official EXIN BCS Foundation and Practitioner certifications are awarded separately by EXIN once you pass each exam.

    Enrollment

How do I enrol in the course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format and schedule, complete payment, and you will receive access to your batch details, courseware and learning resources. Talk to a learning advisor if you need help choosing a batch.

What training formats are available in Thailand?

We offer live virtual instructor-led training and customised corporate group training, delivered onsite, live online or hybrid. This lets professionals and teams across Thailand choose the format that fits their schedule.

    How soon can I start?

New batches run regularly across the year. See upcoming schedules on the website or ask a learning advisor about the next available public or corporate cohort for Thailand.

Can I reschedule or transfer my enrolment?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or move to another batch, subject to the plan you choose. Contact our support team to arrange a transfer.
