    How long is the ASM certification valid?

    The EXIN Agile Scrum Master certification is valid for life. There is no expiry, renewal or continuing-education requirement once you have passed the exam.

    What is the format of the ASM exam?

    The EXIN Agile Scrum Master exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination with single-answer questions. It is delivered through EXIN online proctoring or at accredited testing locations.

    How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 40 multiple-choice questions and an allotted time of 90 minutes. It assesses your ability to apply Scrum Master facilitation and coaching skills, not just recall.

    What is the passing score for the ASM exam?

    You need 65% to pass, which is 26 out of 40 questions correct. The questions are spread across the five EXIN examination topics, so aim for broad mastery rather than one area.

    What topics does the ASM exam cover?

    The exam covers five topics: Agile Way of Thinking (20%), Scrum Master Role (25%), Agile Estimating, Planning, Monitoring and Control (27.5%), Complex Projects (12.5%) and Adopting Agile (15%).

    How do I book the exam, and what if I do not pass?

    You schedule the exam through EXIN online proctoring or an accredited testing location. If you do not pass first time, you can re-sit it; confirm the current re-sit policy and any fee with EXIN before you book.

    Can a beginner take this course?

    Yes, although foundational Scrum knowledge helps. The training builds from the agile mindset through the Scrum Master role, so newcomers to facilitation are supported with practical exercises and trainer guidance throughout.

    What will I learn in the ASM training?

    You will learn to apply the agile mindset, own the Scrum Master role, facilitate Scrum events, use agile estimating and planning, coach teams through complexity, and support agile adoption across the organisation.

    Are practice tests and mock exams included?

    Yes. The programme includes practice questions and mock assessments aligned to the 40-question EXIN exam, helping you identify weak areas and build readiness before exam day.

    Is the courseware aligned with the current EXIN syllabus?

    Yes. The courseware is mapped to the current EXIN Agile Scrum Master Examination Specification and aligned to the Scrum Guide and the Agile Manifesto.

    How long is the training programme?

    The ASM training runs for 16 hours, typically delivered over two full days or four half-days. It covers all five examination topics and prepares you for the exam.
