    General

Is the Change Management certification worth it in Senegal?

Yes. Change management is a recognised, in-demand skill as Senegal digitises public services and transforms banking, telecoms and energy. Certified change professionals help organisations achieve adoption, and roles such as change manager and transformation lead command strong salaries in the Dakar market.

What is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification?

It is a two-level qualification covering the models, tools and practices for managing the people side of change. Foundation validates your knowledge of change concepts, while Practitioner validates your ability to apply them to realistic organisational scenarios. It is aligned to the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK).

Who should take this change management course?

It suits project and programme managers, HR and organisational development professionals, consultants, and leaders who sponsor or deliver change. There are no formal prerequisites for the Foundation level, so it is open to professionals at any stage.

    Is the certification recognised internationally?

Yes. The Change Management qualification is recognised in over 150 countries and is well respected wherever organisational change is a professional discipline, so the credential travels with you across sectors and borders.

Do I need prior change management experience?

No. The Foundation level has no formal prerequisites and starts from the fundamentals. The Practitioner level builds on Foundation and applies the concepts to scenarios, and the training supports you through both.

How much does Change Management training cost in Senegal?

Fees depend on the delivery format and batch, so exact pricing in FCFA is available on request. The fee covers instructor-led training, courseware, practice questions and mock exams for both levels. Request a quote or talk to a learning advisor for current pricing.

    Exam

What is the format of the Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 40 minutes. It is closed book, and the pass mark is 50%, which is 25 out of 50 correct. It tests your knowledge across the five change management topic areas.

What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam is open book, using the Change Management Practitioner Guide. It has 5 scenario-based sections each worth 16 marks, 80 marks in total, over 2.5 hours. The pass mark is 50%, which is 40 out of 80 marks.

How many exams are in the combined programme?

There are two separate exams. You must sit and pass both the Foundation and the Practitioner exams to hold both credentials. Foundation certification is the prerequisite for the Practitioner level.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

You may use the Change Management Practitioner Guide during the exam. However, the scenario-based questions require analysis and judgement, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient guide navigation and solid method knowledge are both essential.

What happens if I do not pass an exam?

You can re-sit the exam you did not pass. Retake policies and fees vary by provider and channel, so confirm the current terms when you enrol. The training and mock exams are designed to prepare you to pass on the first attempt.

    Course Content

What will I learn in this course?

You will learn to manage the people side of change across five topic areas: Change and the Individual, Change and the Organisation, Communication and Stakeholder Engagement, Change Practice, and Personal and Professional Management, at both knowledge and applied levels.

Which change management models does the syllabus cover?

The syllabus covers a broad set of models, including Bridges' Transition Model, ADKAR, Lewin's Three-Step Model, Kotter's 8-Step Model, the McKinsey 7-S Framework, Schein's culture model, Goleman's emotional intelligence and Cialdini's principles of influence.

What standard is the training based on?

The training is aligned to the Change Management Practitioner Guide (current edition) and the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) published by the Change Management Institute, following the current Foundation and Practitioner exam syllabi.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and mock exams for both the Foundation and Practitioner levels, plus scenario-based practice using open-book technique, so you can identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

How is the combined programme structured?

The combined programme is delivered as a 40-hour course. Foundation content is typically covered first, followed by Practitioner content and applied scenarios, so you progress from understanding change models to applying them in real organisational contexts.
