    How long is the Agile Scrum Foundation certification valid?

    The certification is valid for life. It does not expire and there is no renewal, re-examination or continuing education requirement once you pass.

    What is the format of the EXIN ASF exam?

    The exam is closed book with single-answer multiple-choice questions. It is based on the EXIN Agile Scrum Foundation Examination Specification and can be taken online with EXIN proctoring or at an accredited testing location.

    How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 40 questions and lasts 60 minutes (1 hour). It is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination.

    What is the passing score for the exam?

    The pass mark is 65%, which means answering at least 26 of the 40 questions correctly.

    What topics does the exam cover?

    The exam covers five topic areas per the EXIN specification: Agile Way of Thinking (about 20%), Scrum Practices (about 30%), Scrum Planning and Estimation (about 20%), Monitoring Scrum Projects (about 15%) and Advanced Scrum Concepts (about 15%).

    What if I do not pass the exam on the first attempt?

    Course Content

    What will I learn in the Agile Scrum Foundation course?

    You will learn the agile mindset and Agile Manifesto, the Scrum framework and its roles, events and artefacts, agile planning and estimation, how to monitor Scrum projects, and advanced concepts such as scaling and continuous improvement, all mapped to the EXIN syllabus.

    Do I need prior agile experience to follow the course?

    No. The course is beginner-friendly and assumes no prior Scrum or agile knowledge. Trainers build concepts step by step, so complete beginners can follow comfortably and prepare for the exam.

    How long is the training programme?

    The programme runs for 16 hours in total, typically delivered as two full days or four half-days depending on the schedule format. It covers all five EXIN topic areas and prepares you for the exam.

    Is the courseware aligned to the latest EXIN standard?

    Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current EXIN Agile Scrum Foundation Examination Specification and reflects the Scrum Guide and the Agile Manifesto, including the four values and 12 agile principles.

    Are practice tests and materials provided?

    Yes. You receive EXIN-aligned courseware, industry case studies, practice questions and full mock exams that mirror the 40-question format, helping you identify weak areas and build exam readiness.
