Why Bratislava Employers Need Certified Risk Professionals

    Automotive Electrification Risk

Slovakia builds close to a million vehicles a year, and the shift to EVs plus new plants like Volvo brings complex, high-stakes projects that demand structured risk identification and response.

PMI-RMP builds risk identification and response skills

    Tightening EU Regulation

Banking, insurance and manufacturing firms in Bratislava face rising EU compliance and governance demands, so professionals who can assess and mitigate project risk are increasingly essential.

PMI-RMP builds governance and compliance capability

    Scarcity of Certified Risk Talent

Slovakia has a deep pool of project managers but few credentialed risk specialists. The PMI-RMP's specialist focus and eligibility make certified holders rare and sought-after.

PMI-RMP makes certified risk specialists stand out

    Capital Project Complexity

Large infrastructure, energy and gigafactory investments concentrate risk across schedule, cost and supply chains, needing the quantitative analysis and reserve planning certified leaders provide.

PMI-RMP builds quantitative analysis and reserve planning

    Global Service Centres Scaling Up

IBM, Dell, Amazon and ING run major delivery hubs from Bratislava, where growing project portfolios need disciplined risk monitoring to protect value and timelines.

    PMI-RMP builds risk monitoring discipline

    Agile and Hybrid Delivery Risk

As firms adopt agile and hybrid delivery, teams must manage uncertainty continuously. The current PMI-RMP exam content outline covers risk across predictive, agile and hybrid environments.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

PMI-RMP is PMI's specialist credential in project risk management, recognising your ability to identify, assess and respond to project risk. It is designed for risk specialists, senior project managers, PMO professionals and consultants who manage risk on projects and programmes.

    General

What is the PMI-RMP certification and who is it for?

PMI-RMP is PMI's specialist credential in project risk management, recognising your ability to identify, assess and respond to project risk. It is designed for risk specialists, senior project managers, PMO professionals and consultants who manage risk on projects and programmes.

Is PMI-RMP worth it for professionals in Bratislava?

Yes. Bratislava's banking hubs, automotive plants and global service centres increasingly need professionals who can manage project risk formally. PMI-RMP positions you for risk manager, senior project and PMO roles, where salaries range from around €40,000 into senior bands well above that.

    Is PMP required before PMI-RMP?

No. PMP is not a prerequisite for PMI-RMP. You can apply directly based on your project risk management experience and education. Many holders do carry both, as the two credentials complement each other well.

Is the PMI-RMP recognised in Slovakia?

Yes. As a PMI credential, PMI-RMP is recognised by employers across Slovakia and worldwide. It is especially valued in high-risk sectors such as banking, automotive, energy and IT services, where formal project risk management is expected.

How long is the PMI-RMP certification valid?

PMI-RMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 30 PDUs in risk management topics within each three-year continuing certification requirements (CCR) cycle.

    Exam

What if I do not pass the PMI-RMP exam first time?

You have up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period from application approval. Our structured practice, mock exams and domain-by-domain revision are designed to build your readiness for a first-time pass.

How many questions are on the PMI-RMP exam and how long is it?

The PMI-RMP exam has 115 questions and lasts 2.5 hours (150 minutes). It is closed book, with single-answer and multiple-answer multiple-choice questions.

What are the PMI-RMP exam domains and their weights?

The exam covers five domains per the January 2022 ECO: Risk Strategy and Planning (20%), Risk Identification (20%), Risk Analysis (23%), Risk Response (22%) and Monitor and Close Risks (15%).

What is the passing score for the PMI-RMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed pass mark. The passing score is set through psychometric analysis, and results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

Where can I take the PMI-RMP exam?

You can sit the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or the Pearson VUE website within your eligibility period.

What standard is the PMI-RMP exam based on?

What topics does the PMI-RMP training cover?

Does the training satisfy the PMI-RMP education requirement?

The programme provides 32 contact hours, which fully satisfies the 30-hour education requirement for degree holders (Set B and Set C). Set A candidates need 40 hours and should add supplementary study.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?
