Industry Challenges Driving PMI-CP Demand in Slovakia

    Contract and Claims Complexity

Slovak infrastructure and real-estate projects run on layered contracts and subcontracts, where late claims and disputes drain value. Certified leaders who administer contracts well are exactly what employers now seek.

PMI-CP builds contract and claims management skills

    EU-Funded Delivery Pressure

Recovery-fund renovation and transport programmes bring strict governance, audit and reporting demands. Projects need construction leaders who can evidence compliance and control at every milestone.

PMI-CP builds governance and reporting skills

    Motorway and Energy Scale

D1 and D4 motorways and the ZSE grid programme demand construction-grade scope control, risk aggregation and cross-team coordination that only credentialed project leaders reliably provide.

PMI-CP builds scope, risk and coordination skills

    Certified Construction Talent Scarcity

Slovakia's pool is deep in site and engineering talent but thin in construction-specific certified project managers. The PMI-CP mandatory modules and exam make holders rare and sought-after.

PMI-CP makes certified construction leaders stand out

    Stakeholder and Regulatory Load

Owners, authorities, communities and subcontractors all shape project outcomes. Construction leaders who engage stakeholders and secure regulatory sign-offs on time protect programmes from costly delay.

The PMI-CP is more than a credential. It is a career multiplier for construction leaders in Slovakia. Join professionals who bring contract command and governance to complex projects. Start your journey today.

    Your Bratislava Career Transformation

    Where You Stand Today,

And Where the PMI-CP Takes You

Slovakia's construction market is expanding with EU recovery funding, motorway investment and energy projects, and employers increasingly separate certified construction leaders from the rest. Here is which side of that line you want to be on.

    Today

Pay tracks site tenure, with limited leverage to negotiate in the Slovak market

    After PMI-CP

Construction project managers in Bratislava average around €32,000, with contracts managers near €48,000 and directors far higher

    Today

Shortlisted less often for roles that list a construction credential as preferred

    After PMI-CP

Eligible for senior roles across transport, energy, real estate and industrial construction

    Today

Confident on site, but employers want contract and governance command

    After PMI-CP

Fluent in contracts management, stakeholder engagement and project governance at scale

    You earn your PMI-CP

    Before

Project authority rests on years on site, not a recognised construction credential

    Now you have

A globally recognised PMI credential valued by Slovak and international employers

    Before

Stuck at site or package level with no construction-specific certification

    Now you have

A clear route into senior construction project and programme roles

    Before

Contract and claims exposure handled reactively rather than by design

    Now you have

The contract, risk and governance skills employers need on complex projects

    Before

Recognition fades when you change employer or move to another country

    Now you have

A portable credential that travels across sectors and borders

"The gap between running a site and leading a construction project is increasingly a recognised credential, and the employers that matter already know it."

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

The PMI-CP is PMI's specialist credential for the construction industry. It validates the ability to apply project management skills across four domains: Contracts Management (50%), Stakeholder Engagement (30%), Strategy and Scope Management (15%) and Project Governance (5%). It suits construction project managers, site managers stepping up, and PMP holders working in construction.

    General

What is the PMI-CP certification and who is it for?

The PMI-CP is PMI's specialist credential for the construction industry. It validates the ability to apply project management skills across four domains: Contracts Management (50%), Stakeholder Engagement (30%), Strategy and Scope Management (15%) and Project Governance (5%). It suits construction project managers, site managers stepping up, and PMP holders working in construction.

Is the PMI-CP worth it for professionals in Bratislava?

Yes. With Slovak construction output forecast to grow 3.2 percent in 2026 and EU recovery funding driving motorway, energy and renovation projects, employers increasingly seek certified construction leaders. Construction project managers in Bratislava average around 32,000 euro and contracts managers near 48,000 euro, so the credential supports strong earning potential.

Is a PMP required before taking the PMI-CP?

No. A PMP is not a prerequisite for the PMI-CP. You can apply based on your construction project management experience and education. The two credentials are complementary, however, as a PMP validates broad project management while the PMI-CP validates construction-specific expertise.

    Is the PMI-CP recognised internationally?

Yes. As a PMI credential, the PMI-CP carries global recognition through PMI's network across more than 200 countries. It is valued in international construction markets, including Slovakia, where clients and contractors seek globally recognised project management credentials.

What standard is the PMI-CP based on?

The PMI-CP is based on the current PMI-CP Examination Content Outline (ECO), which draws on the PMBOK Guide and construction industry practice. The ECO defines the four domains tested and keeps the credential aligned with real construction project delivery.

    Pricing

How much does PMI-CP training cost in Bratislava?

PMI-CP training fees vary by format and schedule, and are available on request in euro for learners in Bratislava. The PMI exam fee is billed separately by PMI in USD under regional pricing and is not part of the training fee. Request a quote for current options.

What is included in the PMI-CP course fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, guidance on the four prerequisite modules, application support, learner support and a course completion certificate with contact hours. Talk to a learning advisor for full inclusions.

Is the PMI exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the PMI-CP exam fee separately in USD under regional pricing. As a reference, PMI lists roughly USD 520 for members and USD 670 for non-members; confirm current fees on pmi.org, as PMI updates pricing periodically.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for construction teams, PMOs and engineering groups across Slovakia. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the PMI-CP exam?

The PMI-CP exam has 120 questions and a duration of 230 minutes (3 hours 50 minutes). It is closed book with multiple-choice questions in single-answer and multiple-answer formats, delivered via Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

What are the PMI-CP exam domains and weights?

There are four domains per the current ECO: Contracts Management (50%), Stakeholder Engagement (30%), Strategy and Scope Management (15%) and Project Governance (5%). Contracts Management is the largest, reflecting how central contracts are to construction delivery.

What is the passing score for the PMI-CP exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all four domains.

How many attempts do I get, and can I retake it?

You get up to three attempts within the one-year eligibility window from the date your application is approved. Re-examination fees apply to later attempts; confirm the current amounts on pmi.org before scheduling.

How do I schedule the PMI-CP exam from Slovakia?

Once your application is approved, schedule through Pearson VUE, either via OnVUE online proctoring from home or office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre, within your one-year eligibility period. Our team can guide you through the booking process.

    Course Content

What topics does the PMI-CP training cover?

The training covers the four PMI-CP domains: Contracts Management, Stakeholder Engagement, Strategy and Scope Management, and Project Governance. This spans contract types and administration, claims and closeout, stakeholder and owner relations, scope, schedule and cost control, and governance and risk.

What are the four mandatory PMI-CP prerequisite modules?

Before applying, all candidates complete four self-paced modules in any order: Project Communications, Interface Management, Scope and Change Order Management, and Contract and Risk Management. Each is a 6 to 10 hour commitment and awards 14 PDUs, for 56 PDUs in total. We guide you through completing them.

    What learning materials are provided?

You receive PMI-aligned courseware, references to the PMI-CP Examination Content Outline and Handbook, practice questions, mock exams, and topic-wise quizzes. The materials are mapped to the four domains so your preparation matches the exam.

Is the courseware aligned with the current PMI-CP syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current PMI-CP Examination Content Outline and the PMBOK Guide, so you study the domains and weightings exactly as PMI tests them today.

Will I receive a certificate after the training?

Yes. After meeting the course requirements you receive a course completion certificate along with the contact hours earned through the programme, which support your PMI-CP education requirement.

    Enrollment

What are the eligibility requirements to sit the PMI-CP exam?

You must complete the four mandatory modules and meet one of three experience sets: a secondary diploma with 60 months of construction PM experience, a bachelor's degree with 36 months, or a GAC-accredited degree with 24 months, each within the past 10 years, plus 35 contact hours of project management education.

Does this training meet the 35 contact hours requirement?

The instructor-led programme delivers 32 contact hours, which is close to but below the 35 hours PMI requires across all eligibility sets. Ask our team how supplementary self-study or pre-reading can be credited toward the full 35-hour requirement.

How do I enrol in the PMI-CP course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Talk to a learning advisor if you would like help choosing a batch.

    What training formats are available?

We offer online (live virtual) instructor-led training, classroom training, self-paced e-learning, and customised corporate group training, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule and learning style.

Can I reschedule or transfer my enrolment?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch, and selected plans include a pass to attend the training twice. Contact support to arrange this before your batch begins.
